Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted July 6, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted July 6, 2020 I just watched a whole 12 minute video of Max Holloway and his kid hunting for that KFC donut chicken sandwich (which sounds absolutely fucking rank) and never regretted a bit of it. Before anyone loses their shit, this was filmed in March. It’s not going to effect the weight cut. I love these two though. Only thing I couldn’t stand was the slopping mouths as I loathe noisy eating. But honestly, Max and his mini me should have their own show. Their father and son bond is proper heartwarming to see and it makes me look forward to when my boy’s old enough to do stuff like this with. Donut and chicken though. I was a fan of his fighting before I even knew much about his personality but over the years, the more I’ve seen of him away from the cage the more sound he comes across. I really like Volkanovski, and I rate him highly. I fancy him to win again on Saturday night and your post on the last page pretty much nails my thinking too. But I can’t lie, I’d love to see Max get the belt back. I wasn’t ready for his reign to end. I was hoping for a long run of defence against the likes of Zombie, Zabit, Yair and that lot. But as much as I rated Volk, he even surpassed my expectations with that performance in the first fight. Max has got his work cut out and I can’t really think of a clear path to victory based on how well Volk handled him last time. I hope Holloway evens the score though. I think he's the best possible replacement we could have gotten, because of the legit animosity between the the pair of them and also because this lad truly believes he's unbeatable lately and will carry that confidence into the octagon with him on Saturday, to the point - with me anyway - where it's made the fight ridiculously interesting, in that I kind of, sort of, don't know what's going to happen. Usman will most likely beat him, but what if? What if that crazy cunt after - hopefully - cutting 22lbs catches Usman with one of those clattering thunderbastard shots of his and wins that belt. Now watch, after me saying that, Usman makes the poor cunt shite himself square in the center of the Octagon... Ridiculous card though. I watched abit of ESPN yesterday and Masvidal stepping in was the big news. I'm not the biggest Masvidal fan but he's undeniably an exciting fighter. I think the only thing Usman has to fear right now is a PED test, so I heavily favour him, but Masvidal could easily do something mental and spark him out. With Usman, it's whether you can survive the crazy pace and I doubt Masvidal was working hard on his cardio prior to this. But he’ll have the conditioning on top of that. God I hope Usman wins. The overnight Masvidal groupies are going to be fucking unbearable with the ‘gangsta’ shite if he pulls this off. Despite them all probably looking like Millhouse in real life. He’s kind of becoming the new McGregor for me. Not in how he’s carrying on himself, he’s nowhere near as bad as that cretin. But the way his fans seem to go to great lengths to try to explain away his flaws and act like he can beat anyone because he’s a ‘G’. Or something. Similarly we were salivating at the lips of Diaz vs Masvidal yet we wouldn't give Diaz much of a chance. Equally the Mcgregor Usman rumours resulted in everyone in unison saying Mcgregor is getting slaughtered yet people would love to see that. Styles make fights and sometimes the match ups tend to work where a guy can lose to a number of guys and always have one particular guys number. Yet logic is there are levels in combat sports. So based on that Usman wins. Yet Masvidal could always pull of his Matt Serra moment. A lot of competitors seem to have that one nights where they raise their level.
