Yakashi
A fine example of WWEs obsession with looks and youth. No one since has been as good as Fink yet they binned him off because of how old he was and how he looked.   Just the best.

RIDDUM_N_STYLE
Oh fuck off 2020 now seriously. I’m absolutely gutted at this, Fink was THE voice of a generation, arguably more so that Monsoon, Heenan, Ventura, JR or any other commentator/announcer. That he got relegated to just doing the HoF procession at Manias or Legends segments for anniversary/old school episodes of Raw and early episodes of NXT was a disgrace to his legacy. Garcia, Chimmel, Roberts, JoJo, Hamilton, Rome and the like don’t and never will hold a candle to Fink
Paid Members garynysmon Posted April 16, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted April 16, 2020 (edited) Oh shit, that's gutting. Only just heard the sad news, but its hit me more than most wrestlers' deaths. THE ring announcer, no one else even comes close. Seemed like such a lovely bloke who had so many hats, always jovial despite being the butt of McMahon's 'jokes'.  EDIT - So much nostalgia listening to the Fink explaining the Royal Rumble rules  Edited April 16, 2020 by garynysmon
Grecian
Heartbreaking news. RIP Fink.
Paid Members gmoney Posted April 16, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted April 16, 2020 Such a great voice, far and away the best ring announcer in wresting. He seemed like a properly lovable dude as well.
Otto Dem Wanz
RIP Fink, what a shit year eh? Only right to point out that in addition to his peerless announcing career, he gave Wrestlemania its name too.
Factotum
Well this sucks. What a voice. Never understood why he was let go, he was an absolute star. Rest well Fink

Snitsky's back acne
As has been said, The Fink [along with Heenan, Okerlund and Monsoon] were THE wrestling voices of an entire generation. RIP Fink.
Paid Members theironshake Posted April 16, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted April 16, 2020 The best. Simply the best. His announcing was so great. No one came close. Rip Fink

DavidB6937
Had the pleasure of meeting him once and he was every bit as gentlemanly and friendly as I would have expected. Genuinely one of my favourite experiences with anyone related to wrestling. Possibly even near the top with the likes of Regal and Edge. That video of him with Punk - that's how he came across in 'real life'. A humble guy that genuinely loved being in front of fans. A great loss to many, especially those of us who grew up with his voice leading us through the years.
RoryFice
WWE should put a lengthy tribute to the Fink on SmackDown or Raw. Would be fitting and better than watching this empty arena nonsense.
