Big Debates aka "How are you so wrong?"

Recommended Posts

Baths are great if you don't treat them as something you use to clean yourself. They're there for relaxing. Rinse/clean in the shower first otherwise it's gross to be sitting in a tank full of dirt. Had a bath last night with the lights out and some music on, a poor man's float tank.

I had a dentist who told me you only need to brush your teeth once a day.  So that advice is out there, as grim as that sounds.

Cleaning your teeth - twice a day, once a day?  Morning or evening?

It depends on what I'm eating, drinking and smoking, when and in what order. Based on that it's 1, 2 or 3.

I'm not brushing my teeth at work though as I'm not a complete weirdo, except for the one time I went on a date straight from work but I was the only one in the office so I can just about get away with it.

Hang on, hang on.   You don't eat every condiment with every meat, that's not how it works.  I know for most of you fine dining means putting the takeaway on a plate, but we must have standards.

- Beef: mustard, horseradish or bearnaise
- Lamb: mint, redcurrant jelly
- Chicken: mustard

James Corkhill has just had a stroke so can’t come to the thread right now.

Mint sauce should supposedly only be used on a Sunday Roast if it has lamb as the meat. Load of shite.

Mint sauce with beef? Yes. Mint sauce with chicken? Yes. Mint sauce with pork? Yes. Mint sauce with everything? Yes.

I have it on beans on toast and it’s amazing. Has to be Colman’s though.

Mustard isn't for Chicken, Faunteroy.

That's Fauntleroy. Butch.  I guess there are no copies of Frances Burnett in your pub.

I mean clearly only 1 and 2 are acceptable, but some weirdos do 3

How do you cut your toast

If you're having ketchup with any roasts you're a monster.  Red and brown sauce is for fried food.

With you on all of that apart from Chicken. What on earth? Roast chicken, when cooked right, needs no sauce other than a gravy.

Apple sauce is for pork, I assume there's no debate there?
