Well, as they will be stuck indoors for the rest of the year they can't get their 2nd houses done up and claim it on expenses. That should free up billions.

Where are they finding the money from? Labour plans, small fry in comparison, were unaffordable remember?

Those were to help shirkers. This is to help workers.

I spent my last £150 on weed because I didn't want to quarantined without it, then immediately afterwards discovered I wasn't going to get paid while my work was closed down indefinitely, nice one Bellenda.

Magical Money Forest. Labour only had a tree.

Was super impressed with Rishi and his wages plan. But in true Tory fashion, that doesn’t apply if you are self employed. So fuck them guys

Holy fuck they've done away with VAT entirely! All VAT for businesses to be deferred until June.

Massive news tonight. All restaurants, pubs, bars, clubs, gyms, sports centres to close indefinitely. Takeaways excluded.

Burrowing would be my guess, or printing money.

Self employed are getting utterly fucked still all the builders, chippys, plumbers, they have to give them the same 80% they promised everyone else

Also very impressed with the Chancellor. And found today's actions and response very reassuring. Or as reassuring as is possible at the moment.

Well, for the first time in my life, I can honestly say I think a Tory government has done the right thing!

I knew very little about Sunak before he was announced as Chancellor, and many have said he’s merely a mouth for the Conservative regime. But, I watched the Treasury Select Committee on Wednesday and was really surprised, and I must admit, impressed. He had answers for everything and came across as someone who knew what we was doing or at least selling.
