The Four Horsemen Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Just woke up to this on my Twitter stream a few minutes ago. Been and checked https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.cagesideseats.com/platform/amp/2020/1/12/21062143/la-parka-dies-lucha-libre-legend-aaa Many great memories of him in WCW and he had an amazing match with Sabu in MLW.  RIP LA PARKA Quote
Paid Members gmoney Posted January 12, 2020 Paid Members Posted January 12, 2020 I think it's the second La Parka who's passed actually. I might be wrong as it's a bit confusing, but the WCW La Parka who went on to be LA Park I think is still with us. Quote

Paid Members gmoney Posted January 12, 2020 Paid Members Posted January 12, 2020 There were two as far as I know. I don't really know the details as I don't follow lucha, but I know they had a feud over the name at some point in the 2000s. Quote
Wideload90 Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Always sad to hear of a wrestling death but moreso when the death has been directly related to an injury sustained in the ring. Very sad. RIP Quote
Michael_3165 Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Yes apparently this isn't the one that is in MLW. The footage of the original incident (botched catch on a suicide dive, head driven almost piledriver style into a guard rail) sure looks brutal. The medics at the event attended when hee couldn't feel his arms and legs. News suggests complications from the injury (surgery was successful apparently) were caused of death. Either way its shit. Quote

Paid Members Egg Shen Posted January 12, 2020 Paid Members Posted January 12, 2020 Shit, i read about this earlier but only just found out it was from injuries suffered from that dive that was being shared about a few months back. Sad news Quote
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted January 12, 2020 Paid Members Posted January 12, 2020 When they did the autopsy on Kendo, they were stunned to learn his finger had grown back. Quote
