He was staying with "Baxter's son" (my Dad knows the lad from Still Open All Hours' Dad so always called him "fucking Baxter's son"), who lived down the road from us. This was around 2006, so was in town for panto season. Its a far cry from the mansion he used to have. As much as you'd have liked to shout "Alwight at the back?" to him as he went into the Premier for his fags, he seemed quite a sad figure. Which made him at home round our way.
