So unfortunately Brexit is unstoppable. At least we will be a low tax, low regulation and open immigration country under Boris. I wanted a hung parliament, but that aside this is the best result. Boris's majority means he doesn't have to pander to the extremes of his party and the size of Labours defeat means they will hopefully realise that Socialism is dead and revert to New Labour and become a credible opposition again.

Fuck off

Oh.

I voted Lib Dem. My preferred outcome was no conservative majority, no labour majority, labour + SNP no majority. Lib Dems = king makes.

Well, have to give at least a passing credit to the Tory machine. They managed to turn this into a psuedo-second referendum, with a perfect storm of the wheels coming off the Corbyn bus.

I don't do festive as a rule, even less incentive now. Let's see what kind of politician BJ really is now he has his "mandate"...also, right now I hate being a namesake for a previous Labour leader.

I love the upper-classes trouncing in here with all their cash, happy that they aren't gonna be losing an extra 50 quid from their ginormous paychecks whilst the NHS crumbles under extreme staffing issues, people are freezing and starving, and the emergency services can't get a squad car out to someone being viciously assaulted ten minutes away. Gotta get Brexit done, haven't we mate? Gotta leave that union whilst the rich get richer and everything that made this country truly great is fucked over in the name of brutal nationalism.

They're forecast to get 46%. Add the Brexit Party in and it's almost certain the "leave without another referendum" side got a minority of votes. We have a shit electoral system.

Rare for me to defend MPTTDTTD but he made it clear what his priority was and voted for who would best serve that priority instead of treating a political party like a football team.

Absolutely fine, but when so many people will suffer, it’s incredibly crass to come in here “Told you so-ing” IMO

I know it wouldn’t result in more deaths but we would be doing the same if the tories were out. As Ash says, it’s about Socialism not Corbynism, it’s a 30+ year fight.

I've just checked the prediction for my area and it's showing a 97% chance of a Tory gain after it's been Labour for as many years as I can remember. I only ever see Labour posters in peoples front windows and I've never seen the Tory fella doing the rounds. One thing I have noticed though is as far as canvassing goes the Tory election materials must have outnumbered Labours by about 4-1.
