Fog Dude
The results went into the opening post on Sunday night as usual. The table was worked out straight afterwards and has thrown up a couple of surprises at each end. Stinky Dad was the best performer in a high-scoring round. He did so well that he's forced an old rule that I don't even bother explaining in the pre-season sign-up blurb to be resurrected: the leader getting 4 or more three-pointers in a round causes everyone else to get an extra bonus point, just to stop them from getting too far ahead. Stinky now leads by 8 over TildeGuy. The only participant not to get an exact score right, on the other hand, was ultimo. Whilst Grecian posted in the main football thread how much he thoroughly enjoyed Saturday's Devon derby result, he didn't actually back his own side to win. That means everyone who didn't bet on a draw – including a couple of people who wrongly plumped for an away win – all received bonus points. What's more, even though he avoided being the lowest scorer this time, he still slipped to last place thanks to Rory scoring a dozen. Away from St James' Park, comfortable victories for Chelsea, Man U, Celtic and Atleti all proved fruitful, alongside narrower successes for Liverpool and Kilmarnock. A stalemate at Vicarage Road and a score draw at the Olympic Stadium caught a few players out, as did Brighton triumphing by the odd goal in five at the AmEx. A new set of 10 fixtures, featuring another D2D match, will be up in the original post very soon...

Fog Dude
The final scores went into the initial post on Sunday evening. A late turnaround at Ewood Park meant that MVP RULZ lost his D2D bet. Two thirds of the remaining participants claimed bonus points based on that. Had the Owls held on, he'd be joint highest scorer and in second place in the table. As it is, he's the worst performer of the round and slips into the bottom half. Stinky still leads by 9 points, whilst Rory is now 2 clear of Grecian at the other end. A few people did actually get the result of the Berlin derby right, as we approach the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Wall. Nobody foresaw Bayern losing 5-1 at their manager's former club, though. Niko Kovač has since been sacked. Closer to home, wins for Liverpool, Brighton and Chelsea proved fruitful, as did score draws Goodison Park and The Emirates. A victory for Newcastle and a surprisingly comfortable success for The Blades caught quite a few players out, however. No D2D or FPL Cup next, just the best weekend of the season, which needs no further gimmicks...
