I don’t think Japan allows/recognised Dual Citizenships

Right. In order to become a Japanese citizen you have to denounce / relinquish your native citizenship, after also having lived and worked full time in Japan for 10 years.

At least that was the case the last time I checked.

Right people, right time, just the wrong location.

Fucking hell who’s arsed. Let people get excited about things.

For a TV Guide photoshoot promoting a new wrestling show, this is what you want to see. Not you brothers wedding reception, like those cunts above. You're selling professional wrestling. Nothing else.

Some very clever marketing being done for All Out by Fite, everytime I switch my Smart TV on, I have Moxley and Cody staring at me until I put something on (TV, not clothes).

That advert makes me wish it was Cody vs. Mox at the PPV. I can’t remember the last time anyone has shat the bed as much as MJF has being moved into the main event scene.

Talking of things that aren't working well, I watched last week's AEW Dark earlier to see Vickie Guerrero brand her partnership with Nyla Rose "The Vicious Vixens", a name which feels like it could have been invented for an early 2000s WWE Diva's faction containing Terri Runnels or Sable.

It doesn't fit particularly well with Nyla's Native Beast character and it feels like it's on the verge of gendered/sexual language (such as 'jezabel' and 'diva') that should be relegated to the wrestling dustbin.

Nyla's been presented as dangerous so far, almost like a female version of Lance Archer (except she's a better promo than he is) - and the idea of Jake Roberts branding their partnership "The Ferocious Foxes" or "Dangerous DILFs" is inconceivable.

Vickie seems like a lovely person, but she's bringing Nyla down. I hope they re-evaluate this pairing.

On the All Out Wiki page, Hardy Vs Sammy G is listed as a 'broken rules' match where Hardy must retire if he loses. When was that stip added?

On the latest Road To All Out. It's essentially a hardcore, falls count anywhere match.

"The Vicious Vixens" sounds like something straight out of late 80s GLOW, which I doubt they want to be perceived as.

I've been convinced for a while that he's just The Miz. A great mid-card gobshite heel who can occasionally flirt with the main event but looks massively out of place headlining a big show.

I reckon in a few years his act will have matured and he'll be ready for the main-event scene they're clearly grooming him for, but right now it's way too soon for him to be headlining one of their biggest shows of the year.

When it became clear it was Mox vs MJF, I ordered the PPV immediately based on that one match. I was expecting a feud the level of MJF/Cody given the talent of both men involved, but my enthusiasm for the match itself has dropped by the week.

It’s not because the segments have been bad, they’ve been perfectly fine. But it doesn’t feel like a big-time match. The decision to present MJF in the way that they have has defined him down somewhat for me. I just can’t see MJF winning the title on the back of this feud, he doesn’t mean anywhere near enough.

As far as the Miz comparison goes, I’m absolutely with you on that. There’s something about him that isn’t quite clicking for me right now when it comes to viewing him as top level.

Just finished Dynamite for the first time in God knows how long and I must say I really enjoyed that.

One thing I've never noticed is how beautiful those tag belts are. The story with Omega / Page / FTR is the most captivating thing going on at the moment and it's something I may have missed not being a regular viewer, but what was the matter with Pages eyes? He looked like he had conjunctivitis in both eyes.

One criticism I had and noticed which took me out of the segment was how weak the strikes were in the Jericho / Janela match. Jericho had Janela in the ropes and was striking the cut on Janelas head and the strikes looked like they were nearly touching, same for when Jericho and Cassidy were going at it, it looked terrible. That being said, Sonny Kiss' punch to Jericho was brilliant.

How Archer isn't an unbeaten world champion by now I'll never know, you would never in a million years think the guy is the same guy who pissed about with Guitar Hero guitars with Hemme and Jimmy Rave, or even the Velocity jobber Vance Archer. The guy is money, it's a shame he didn't cotton on to this character years ago.

Wardlow should be the star in that pair, with MJF as mouthpiece. When they posed at the end with MJF holding the belt up, it really looked like a Manager holding the belt of their client rather than MJF as next champion. Wardlow has a tremendous look.

There seems to be a few WWE style matches though, Broken Rules and the Britt Baker matches are straight out of the WWE playbook and not in a good way, it's a big criticism WWE get in that they will rename a falls count anywhere / street fight as anything other than those names.

I'm now actually hoping that FTR lose on Saturday and we get Page/Omega Vs. Bucks II. I honestly don't give a toss about FTR and the more I think about it the interest I have in a Horsemen knock off.

Agree that Mox/MJF doesn't have that big match feel.

Wouldn't be shocked if Rossa wins the belt.

Kiss coming out to save Orange after watching his partner take a kicking was rather amusing.

Overall I'd say it was a rather average episode. Looking forward to the PPV though.

Another strong show, although the Baker/Swole angle was absolutely terrible. Big Swole isn't a great interview and I haven't seen enough of her in ring to know if there's anything working in her favour in that respect.

The Page/Omega/FTR angle was excellent, and I'm not sure who I want to win this match. I thought FTR were superb in this angle, and I'm genuinely interested to see where it all goes. In spite of how FTR were presented here I think The Bucks and Omega going heel in the long term is the right way to go. A heel Omega winning the title from Moxley? I'm all on board for that.

The show ending angle was strong but I can't help but feel this is the way they should have started the feud, veering away from the Presidential stuff. This was a match I was massively invested in seeing, but as I've said before the build up actually made me feel less interested in it.

As much as I enjoyed the show, I can't help but feel that All Out has an underwhelming card. The fact they're not going with Darby vs Starks in a one on one match feels like a lost opportunity. Even The Best Friends vs Santana and Ortiz feels like it has more of a place on this card than, say Dark Order vs. The Nightmare Family and friends or The Bucks vs Jurassic Express.

If they wanted someone to seek vengeance for Cody, they'd have been better off going with Brodie vs Dustin in a one-on-one title match, with Dustin cutting the kind of angry big brother promo he's more than capable of. Heck, Brodie vs. Scorpio Sky would have been well worth my money.

I have absolutely no desire to see Matt Cardona or QT Marshall wrestle on PPV. Or at all, at the moment.

Fucking hell. I’d never even considered a Brodie vs. Dustin match! That would’ve been a million times better than a shitty 8-man featuring QT and Ryder.

All Out definitely feels like their weakest PPV lineup so far. The talent is there and I’m sure it’ll deliver but the matches and pairings seem all over the place and very few storylines feel like they’re peaking at the right time.

Good tag match between Best Friends and LAX. Still don’t understand why this wasn’t on the PPV.

Sometimes, the FITE feed is a good laugh. You get to hear stuff like Jim Ross mumbling about how Joey Janela should turn heel. Then other times, they have all the Casino Battle Royal guys brawl for the whole fucking advert break and it’s absolute death. I never thought I’d be longing for the AEW graphic and Dynamite theme song!

Thunder Rosa and Serena Deeb had a great match. It felt leagues above the majority of their women’s division. Hopefully both stick around.

Fingers crossed Sammy Guevara and Matt Hardy teleport to the Compound. Sammy’s the perfect guy to react to loads of stupid nonsense. I want a hundred Matt Hardys in a hundred golf karts chasing him through time and space.

The MJF angle was exactly what it needed to be but it was still too little too late. It felt like that Bret vs. Vince angle leading into Wrestlemania. You reveal at the end that all the goofy nonsense was just filler but we still had to suffer through it as viewers and it still killed interest in the match. To be honest, by the end of the show I was more interested in Wardlow vs. Mox for the title! I hope Wardlow turns on MFJ soon and goes on a huge run as a monster.
