Football 19/20. A season in which 20 Wrexham youths went to a right wing rally and twatted all the coked up right wing fat fucks in Manchester. UP THE SHAGGING TOWN

So Bristol City have spent most of their budget to keep the team we had on loan for most of the season (Kalas, Da Silva and now Kasey Palmer), except Liam Kelly (out for 17m), and now Adam Webster - Sky claim the fee's agreed - 18m up front with 4 more - and he's going down there for talks.

I would cry except that the Lids are selling 4 people for that money, maybe including Kemar Roofe off to Anderlecht.

Sunday is going to be interesting.

Harry Maguire is officially the World’s most expensive defender. Is he worth £80m?

In this market, probably. In the sense that he's a player in a position they need, with proven experience in the Premier League and the international stage. There's no point arguing the value of the fee, or comparing it to other transfers considering everyone's playing with Monopoly money at this stage.

Another good signing from Ole, mind. If they get Fernandes they'll have had a really impressive Summer.

He's clearly not worth £80m but it's a sellers market and if teams are looking to buy instant success then they're going to get their pants pulled down.

Luckily the rot at United seems to go deeper than the playing staff so I imagine the careers of the latest batch of shit hot players will go the way of Di Maria and co.

Newcastle have again gone all in on a player we'll either ship for 3 times what we paid in a season or be stuck with for 6 years.

Allan Saint Maximin. Even on YouTube you can tell his end product is gonna be fucking calamitous!

Back home from Barnsley's first league game of the new season. And what a performance it was. What is did the Fulham team cost? £125m? The Reds made them look like a League 2 side. Here is hoping it's not just a one off performance! YOU REDS!!!!

We were brilliant weren't we. Really, really enjoyed it. 6 new signings and it looked like we'd been playing together for 10 years.

It's all downhill from here.....

Sky and BBC are saying United have ended negotiations with Dybala. His wage demands were apparently excessive (that's what happens when you pay Sanchez silly money) and they felt he didn't really want to move. However Lukaku could still move and United could bring in Mandzukic instead. Christ.

To be honest, I'd rather get 1 or 2 midfielders as a priority. We have lost 2 mids that used to start in Herrera and Fellaini and havent replaced them, and Matic continues to start. The attack isnt as much of a problem as the supply.

I was excited by the prospect of swapping Lukaku for Dybala, but it sounds like Dybala wasn't exactly enthused by the move, so it's probably for the best if he doesn't come. They are spinning the story that Ole only wants to bring in players who are fully committed to the rebuilding task at hand, which is a clever way to manage the news. Be interesting to see if they let Lukaku go anyway.
