Paid Members Egg Shen Posted April 15, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted April 15, 2019 speculation thread... At the pre and post show press conferences/interviews Dana White kept hinting at plans being unveiled in the next two months that will blow everyones minds, no details included other than consistently talking about how good the ESPN deal is and how the plans are not just massive for the UFC but for fighting. makes mention of it there, but watch any Dana interview from the weekend and he mentions it Any ideas? Zuffa boxing finally getting up and running? new weight classes? a new partnership with another promotion?
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted April 15, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted April 15, 2019 Dana has been hinting at this for a few months now. He claims it's something they've been working on for years. I'd guess something to do with Zuffa Boxing that will also have ties to MMA. Who knows, maybe they do Zuffa Kickboxing too. The idea being them having the ability to put on their own crossover super fights and a massive roster they can build up - or more realistically sell the different promotions to networks for extra coinage. Paid Members JNLister Posted April 15, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted April 15, 2019 One rumour/theory is broadcasting more shows from their version of the Performance Center like the Contender Series. More shows meaning possibly even live fights every day, presumably with unknown fighters getting paid pennies.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted April 15, 2019 Author Paid Members Share Posted April 15, 2019 Dana talking of content could tie into that. Maybe they plan on having some kind of Fight Channel through ESPN/ESPN+?
