Paid Members Fatty Facesitter Posted March 12, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted March 12, 2020 Moving it seems like the most logical scenario. Cancelling outright would be tragic financially, but moving it to a new date (and a new venue if required) would allow them to recoup most of the losses.
Undefeated Steak
I can't believe I'm more excited for Wrestlemania to be cancelled than seeing the show! Business is booming.

Sonny Mustang
As a Tampa resident it’s very sad, but I honestly think it’s inevitable at this point. i heard SD is going to be at the PC Friday (so silver lining I might be able to get into that!) Paid Members JNLister Posted March 12, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted March 12, 2020 Seen a few people half-joking, half-serious about the idea of moving it to Saudi Arabia.
The Dart
The Wells Fargo Arena (where Elimination Chamber was) has closed down until further notice. It has events scheduled. Other arenas could follow.
The Gaffer
Can't wait to see how they do a proper WWE on it. Maybe Vince introducing an empty arena broadcast with a monologue about how a pandemic isn't going to destroy their way of life.
2Xtreme_lives
I wonder if they will air a special on Wrestlemania night that will be used to attract a big audience on fox or soemthing and run it later in the year... I would assume they would then gear the summer season around a new 'Wrestlemania'Â
iMPACt!
Yeah when I said cancelled earlier I meant postponed. I think the shout of it replacing Summerslam could happen. They could also hold it in Tampa at that point and just say all original tickets are valid. If they do push ahead I don't even see how it could be enjoyable knowing how irresponsible they would be being. There would also be weird gap in the crowds and I'm sure a few performances affected. Imagine a Mania main event playing out to silence. Oh wait a minute.... I suppose if they’re postponing Mania to another date at Raymond James, they’re at the mercy of available Sundays there anyway. Personally, I’m hoping it’d be late June. iMPACt!
I didn't realise that cities also now bid for events other than Mania. No easy solution then. That being said they need to do the right thing and postpone.
MVP RULZ
The Bucs wont be at home until September and the Vipers (XFL team) only home game scheduled after Mania is the week after Mania on the 12th April So the calendar should be fairly clear aside from Maybe a concert or two. If it is postponed I'd guess a June date is most likely Money in the bank is May so probably wouldnt want to scrap that but a B show like Backlash can easily be replaced.
