Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted August 17, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted August 17, 2019 (edited) Looks like we might be seeing Darren Till vs Kelvin Gastelum at MSG. Till posted these on Twitter and Instagram around the same time;  And... And Helwani is also saying the UFC are looking at doing Frankie Edgar vs Aljamain Sterling on the same card. Pretty tough debut at 135 for Frankie that, but I like the fight. Edited August 17, 2019 by wandshogun09
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted August 25, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted August 25, 2019 (edited) Did everyone make it through the UKFF blackout OK? Few fight announcements and rumours while we’ve been down; - Al Iaquinta vs Dan Hooker at UFC 243 in Australia. - Kron Gracie vs Cub Swanson at UFC Tampa in October. - Ben Askren vs Demian Maia is now confirmed as the headliner for the Singapore show in October. - Johnny Walker vs Corey Anderson at UFC 244 at MSG in November. - Derrick Lewis vs Blagoy Ivanov also at MSG. - Alistair Overeem vs Walt Harris is the main event for UFC Washington in December. - Amanda Nunes vs Germaine De Randamie 2 for UFC 245 in December. - Matt Brown is out of retirement and fighting Ben Saunders at 245 too. And the rumours/yet to be made official stuff; - Combate in Brazil is reporting that Usman vs Covington is pretty much a done deal for MSG. - There’s talk on Twitter that Holloway vs Volkanovski is going down at UFC 245 in Dec. - Rumours that Frankie Edgar’s debut at 135lbs will be against Aljamain Sterling on the MSG card. - Dana wants to do Cejudo vs Benavidez 2. - And it seems like this Korean Zombie vs Brian Ortega thing is picking up a bit of steam as well. Both are talking about it and Zombie is uncharacteristically talking a bit of shit. It needs to happen. It’s all go. Dana’s shot down the Till vs Gastelum stuff though. Edited August 25, 2019 by wandshogun09
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted August 25, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted August 25, 2019 You forget how valuable this place is for killing some time. Group clinch. DC's stepdad died the other day, which no doubt David has laughed about since. Â
Paid Members WeeAl Posted August 25, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted August 25, 2019 Iaquinta Vs Hooker had escaped my notice, that's a great fight right there and will really add to that show.
jimufctna24
Dan Hardy is flirting with a comeback as well. He's re-entered the USADA testing pool. Oh, and I have actually missed this place. Other MMA forums are unreadable.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted August 25, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted August 25, 2019 Unreal that Hardy last fought 7 years ago. Time flies in MMA.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted August 26, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted August 26, 2019 Brett Okamoto has confirmed that Till vs Gastelum is happening after all. UFC 244 at MSG in November. Till’s middleweight debut. Love that fight. 244’s looking pretty good so far... Darren Till vs Kelvin Gastelum Johnny Walker vs Corey Anderson Derrick Lewis vs Blagoy Ivanov Plus Usman vs Covington and Edgar’s 135 debut also rumoured.
David
That MSG card is looking better and better with every announcement. I'm seriously gonna make a run at getting tickets.
boyfriend
Yikes. Worried for Till. He's hittable and Kelvin hits hard. Where does he go from here for he loses?!
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted August 27, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted August 27, 2019 Yeah it’s a really tough introduction to 185 for Till. Gastelum’s in the title mix, just fought for the interim belt and gave Adesanya all kinds of problems. And Till’s coming off back-to-back losses at 170 and a bad KO against Masvidal. It’s a good fight but it’s a hard one for Till. I think I’d have gone with Till vs Anderson Silva or something. And maybe Gastelum vs Romero or a rematch with Jacare. 185’s so stacked though, you can’t really go wrong however you mix it up.

Cousin Jim Bob
It looks like the last one where he is attacking someone on the ground whilst his massive bodyguards/goons half heartdly try and stop him and block anyone else interfering. He could probably do with a day in court and some jail time. Would that fix him ? Who knows. Might make him think getting in bar fights all the time is a stupid idea. Kfogg1991
What the hell has happened to BJ man he always came across as such a lovely, down to earth, humble fighter and all round decent guy in a sport filled with questionable characters. What a crazy few years we have had in mma

I wouldn't go that far. He always believed his own hype. Think about it, this is a man who took fights with much bigger guys, some of the sport's best, and didn't even bother to train properly. Heck, he even entertained fighting a Arlovski for the Heavyweight title in 2005, despite being a natural lightweight.

With alot of the bigger main event fighters they don't look like a laugh a minute tbh
