Paid Members BigJag Posted June 11, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted June 11, 2019 Will this be just a one off or for all numbered events?
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted June 11, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted June 11, 2019 Its just for certain numbered events i think. Not sure why they've chosen 239.

jimufctna24
Weidman has moved up to 205lbs - https://middleeasy.com/mma-news/chris-weidman-jon-jones/ Light Heavyweight is looking a bit better these days. The emergence of Rakic, Rockhold, Walker, Reyes, Santos, Weidman, etc has opened up plenty of exciting match-ups and fresh victims for Jones.

Paid Members WeeAl Posted June 14, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted June 14, 2019 (edited) The UFC San Antonio card has gotten a main event at pretty short notice. Rafael Dos Anjos and Leon Edwards are taking the spot against each other on just over four weeks notice. It's a fairly quick turnaround for RDA as well, as it was only May when he fought Kevin Lee. I actually think it's a good fight for both men at this stage. It's the big name win Edwards needs if he's going to step up to the very top of the division. For RDA, he has such an experience edge over the likes of Edwards and Lee that old man stubbornness and know how will play enough of a part for him to beat these younger guys, unless they really and truly are going to be championship level. At this stage you don't beat RDA unless you're capable of challenging for a championship, so it's a good test for both men. I'm a fan of Zhang Vs Andrade as well. With the booking of this one fight, this whole division could be completely turned on its head. I like that they went with a challenger that nobody was talking about, yet is still very deserving, being what, 19-1? If Zhang beats Andrade, then there are a tonne of interesting matchups for her. If Andrade wins, then it's still pretty interesting too. Rose, JJ, Suarez, Waterson are all vying for the winner of this one and are all in with a decent claim of getting the next shot.  Edited June 14, 2019 by WeeAl
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted June 14, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted June 14, 2019 yeh, like that booking. Edwards is more than deserving of a headline slot, good on him.
TildeGuy~!
Zhang has been super impressive in her last 2 fights, I’m looking forward to what she can do against Andrade
Paid Members WeeAl Posted June 19, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted June 19, 2019 August is going to be a month for title fights it seems. In addition to Andrade Vs Zhang and Cormier Vs Miocic, the Fight Night event ON ESPN + from Montevideo is getting Shevchenko Vs Carmouche. It's interesting that UFC are starting to spread the title fights away from PPV's even though they still haven't pulled the trigger on going back to headlining some PPV shows without title fights yet. https://mmajunkie.com/2019/06/valentina-shevchenko-vs-liz-carmouche-headlines-ufc-on-espn-
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted June 25, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted June 25, 2019 Looks like Colby Covington vs Robbie Lawler is going to headline the New Jersey Fight Night in August, according to Brett Okamoto. Weird one. Covington won the interim belt a whole year ago, sits out then comes back for this? Thought Usman vs Covington was pretty much a lock as the next title fight. Fuck knows what happens now. Usman vs Askren/Masvidal winner is the only other option that makes sense.

Just read that UFC have cut Jon Linekar. Baffling if that was their call.
Paid Members WeeAl Posted July 3, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted July 3, 2019 The John Lineker release is really weird. There's bound to be something going on there that doesn't meet the eye. He's a ranked fighter, with a good record AND the crème de la crème for Dana, he brawls like a maniac. Strange. Speaking of brawlers, check this fight announcement out - Vicente Luque Vs Mike Perry. Three rounds of madness, going down in Uruguay. https://www.mmafighting.com/2019/7/3/20680602/vicente-luque-vs-mike-perry-expected-to-co-headline-ufc-uruguay
TildeGuy~!
ESPN have confirmed Joanna is returning to the strawweight division to fight Michelle Waterson on October 12th. Just noticed Todd Duffee is back(remember him) he’s fighting on September 14th against Jeff Hughes Edited July 4, 2019 by TildeGuy~!
