Dean Ambrose leaves the ukff

Thing is, Dean still gets great reactions from crowds. His return one was obviously always going to be big, but as people have mentioned, in various other moments he's been over as hell and the WWE...have sort of dropped the ball with him. His feud with Seth was so badly handled.  I always thought his initial promos with the Shield were excellent as well, would like to see the return of that.

Its a good thing for him to go out and see if he can reinvent himself . No doubt if AEW get him it'll be a good bit of business for both sides.

There's chat on Twitter about remarks Ambrose supposedly once said on a podcast, saying that if he ever left WWE he'd do one Death Match because they pay so well, then vanish into the mountains. Without really knowing him, he does seem the type to just fuck off into obscurity. I suspect he's made a good chunk of change.

I remember meeting Dean Ambrose at that Mania which was before the HOF (yes I know you can get pissed in a short time) and he didn't seem intoxicated then (forgetting my thoughts one of the many hundred would have picked up on it). I did think he was a miserable fucker though but I do understand that you can't be the same with every person you meet at those meet and greet things.

I'm not overly fussed if he goes. Hopefully Renee goes with him or leaves as cannot stand her on commentary so might not all be so bad.

Well he acted better than he ever does in the ring when I saw him getting interviewed on the red carpet on the Network, he seemed pretty wasted

Hopefully he doesn't rock up at Double Or Nothing and cut a bitter promo about how he was misused "in that other company" and just gets on with doing his pseudo Heath Ledger Joker schtick. He did a good line in sinister promos before he went all NXT.

Okay, now I'm a little suspect.... they have never taken this course of action before have they? Sure they comment on releases but not on notice periods.
I'm just trying to think why they have taken this course of action in this instance.

I remember watching a clip of a podcast, where some wrestlers (maybe Edge and Jericho) were talking about how fans always talk bollocks about how this guy is "misused" because he's not winning all the belts every night, but that there are usually good reasons for it, and that it might be a guy who half-asses it and doesn't put the effort in that is needed from someone wanting to be a top guy. They didn't mention Ambrose by name, but whoever uploaded the clip to YouTube put a photo of him over the whole discussion, and it did certainly seem like the discussion fit him.

Ambrose is a very interesting one to go out into the indies again. He could be a mediocre disappointment, based on the vast majority of his performances. He's usually the poster boy for the Emperor's New Clothes on the Internet. But there are occasional times where he shows the potential to be absolute gold. I'm looking forward to seeing how it shakes out, the intrigue about that would definitely get me checking out AEW.

Seems a very unprecedented step by WWE to tweet about his situation. Does that mean they know he's taking a hiatus and will be back or maybe he's making a career change. Very strange otherwise.

Might be trying to get him a Goldberg/Lesnar reaction at Wrestlemania thinking people might boot off if they know he's off down the road a piece.

It's a shame this has happened just as he's started to turnaround his overall look. When he got out of Bossman's clobber, that Sunday afternoon Primark vest and bootcut jeans paired with Lonsdale wraparound steak slices he wore them with might be the overall shittest look i've ever seen a wrestler in such a featured position have. Man was a full on TK Maxx magnet and here he is fighting every star imaginable with a streak of hangover shit combed in every direction that'd make Bobby Charlton do a sharp intake of breath. Then he goes and gets jacked, accepts fate with his barnet and got a proper pair of kecks as of Sunday and they turn him into some arsehole in a Delboy coat who's scared of bannisters. No wonder he's off.

This just made me think is has to be leading into some sort of angle. Either incorporating the fact he’s leaving so he just goes full lunatic or that he ends up not leaving at all.
