Paid Members gmoney Posted December 28, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted December 28, 2018 I only watched Death of Stalin this year. It was fantastic, so I declare this one of the best years for movies ever. 100% hit rate.

Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted December 29, 2018 Awards Moderator Share Posted December 29, 2018 Bravo HG. Love reading this every year. I don't get to the cinema much so it gives me a good list of films to torrent seek out. I rate They Shall Not Grow Old as the best of the year, of any year perhaps. Incredible film-making both technically and dramatically and should be part of the school curriculum. For general decency, not history. Elsewhere this year, I thought Incredibles 2 was absolutely cracking (and as HG says) is as good as the first. Brilliant zany action with precise characterisation and well-observed gags. I hoped A Wrinkle In Time would be an inspiring tale for my daughter but what a lot of hooey.Complete nonsense. A Quiet Place might be one of the best cinema experiences I've ever had, with particular delight in fellow cinema-goers bricking it when they dropped a drink. Oh Jumanji was terrific too.
wordsfromlee
My hatred of Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom is more than my love for any other film I've seen this year. Or ever as a matter of fact.
