Factotum
Quote It was funny, but that's not the same thing as being a comedy act. Jericho wasn't booked as a joke. It's like saying The Rock was a comedy act. Exactly. It's utter nonsense to refer to his last run as 'midcard comedy act' He was pretty much the focus of RAW for much of his last run
Liam O'Rourke
Interesting times. Agree that the OWE link is the underrated diamond of the announcements, that will help the first impressions a great deal come showtime. The Jericho signing is clearly the biggest of the lot, really felt like a Lex Luger on Nitro moment - more of a statement signing that not only are they putting the money in, but somebody who is a genuine star and has options is choosing to be here. That alone isn't going to make the big difference necessarily, but throughout the industry it says a lot, which has a knock-on effect that could pay dividends. Not sure I buy the Turner TV deal story yet. Last word was two TV deals are on the table, and they are implied to be pretty good ones just from the vibe of what Meltzer is saying - that the production values will need to be top-notch to live up to the stations level, and that the television industry opened their eyes to the possibilities of a wrestling promotion that looks the business when WWE got so much for their rights deal. The biggest piece of this puzzle is how this goes beyond an online phenomenon amongst niche fans to being a genuine TV property that can pull some casual fans. A great TV deal is one thing, but they'll need to market this thing to high heaven in the real world.
Guest
Given how the Bucks especially have self promoted themselves to this point, giving them money and some proper advertising teams, I don’t see that being a big issue add in cross promotional links to Fulham and Jacksonville jaguars , they have good options there to get their names out

Though there does seem to be some evidence that they were just kicking out people in the "wrong" shirt, the fact that even the people complaining acknowledged that some people were allowed in wearing AEW shirts makes me lean toward the former. Meltzer reckons it did 20,000 buys online but he'd heard no numbers from traditional sales but reckons that it's probably not a great amount otherwise they'd be telling.
