News in as they go to vote on the main motion - May has imposed a 3 line whip at the last minute, removing the option of a free vote for the Tories.

Vote result: 321 - 278, motion passes with majority of 43. We will not be leaving without a deal

May's stated options - Leave with her deal, second referendum, extend Article 50, negotiate another deal. Vote tomorrow on extending Article 50 short term. She says extending longer would require European election votes.

Blackford of the SNP nailed it.  Not an ounce of humility.  She's an absolute psycho.

This may be May's Waterloo. All sides of the house ripping her stubbornness and ignorance to the will of the greater House.

When Ken Clarke says the Tories are doing wrong...pretty sure they're doing wrong

To show what he meant by restoring our sovereignty, Farage is going to ask his mates in the EU to say no to an extension to make sure the EU overrules the UK parliament.

Is there anywhere that has published the EU's position on "forcing" Brexit, deal or no deal [/edmonds]

They can't force it.  We started the clock ticking and it will happen via automatic operation of law with or without a deal unless we revoke.

But can the EU reject any extension and force the door closed on the 29th?

We can only request an extension.  The request has to be agreed unanimously by the EU27.  One country objects and it doesn't happen.

That will be a no from Spain for one, Ireland potentially for two...

No fucking way we will vote against giving ye an extension. UK are Ireland's biggest trading partner, our farming industry is shagged if no deal happens and tariffs come into effect.
