So, tickets haven’t officially gone on sale yet, but as of today, WWE have announced a change in venue from the 65,000 seater King Fahd International Stadium, to the 25,000 seater university stadium. No actual official reason given as of yet. Doesn’t look positive though.

Booked so far:

- Reigns vs Braun vs Lesnar - triple threat with title on the line.

- Styles vs Bryan - title on the line.

- World Cup tournament - to determine the best in the world.

Are you watching? Are you bothered?

I'll be watching purely because it's in the middle of the day. A few of us are going round a mate's for a couple of drinks and that. Did it for the Greatest Royal Rumble and it was a right laugh.

I'll be watching because it's bound to be Taker & Kane vs DX. Which will be a laugh.

Miz costing Bryan the belt too.

Apparently the stadium is closed for emegency repairs and that’s why they’ve changed venues.

Even if that’s legit the case, it’s still a loss of potentially 40,000 seats/ticket sales.

Is it a case of WWE get a flat fee for putting an event or, or do they get the gate too?

See, I’m actually enjoying the spectacle of these so called ‘makes no difference’ events.

An occasional (or back to back in this case) random event is a nice breather. It helps that I watch it expecting a phone in/get the spots in deal, but the SSD proved to be much better than expected.

So yeah, I’m happy to go in expecting nowt, and getting something pretty good, fun with some really decent matches.

I won’t clog it up in here, but we’ll be hosting the event live at Aspers Casino in Newcastle. I’ll pop details in the Grapple Arcade thread at the end of he week.

Definitely be watching, be nice to have another event where the time is a little more reasonable for us dirty rotters across the pond!

We’ll likely get a clearer picture of where things are going following Raw tonight but if HBK is indeed on his way back I hope they tease my tip a bit first. Have him goaded out of it by a heel Undertaker and others trying to convince him it’s a good idea, all the while he’s trying to stay true to his word and resist the desire to go back on the stipulation, etc. Give me some drama, pls.

I can't believe they're throwing away a tourney named after the World Cup with some non-nationality-themed qualifiers and the climax on a show like this. Well, I can believe it but you know what I mean. It's nice they're doing little gimmicks like this and the Greatest Royal Rumble, at least doing something different, just think they could do it with more substance.

WWE seem to have some sort of thing for big trophies lately. They have the Andre The Giant one, the WrestleMania Women's One which they awkwardly planned to name after Fabulous Moolah, Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Trophy, Mae Young Classic Trophy and the Greatest Royal Rumble Trophy.

Would have been the Ric Flair Trophy if they had the sense they were born with.
