Love to see all three of these mentioned, though should have guessed from the username that you'd lean in a noisy direction. The ex picked me up a lovely Rallizes boxset in Japan last year, and "visioncreationnewsun" by Boredoms is easily one of my top ten albums of all time. Lovely stuff. Merzbow
I actually got into LRD and FTB way after I slid into my noise era, I'm pretty sure it was through a Julian Cope blog post I read after re-finding him. Now there's someone not always seen in the best light by the psychedelic scene.
Paid Members BomberPat Posted September 18, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted September 18, 2018 It was Julian Cope's Japrocksampler that alerted me to both bands, actually.
BigJackTaylor
Although I posted them on the first page I think it's only right to post more King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. They are ace. They release album after album and each one is wildly different. Top band.
Mr Butternut Squash
King Gizzard are a great shout. One of the best rock groups on the planet right now. Thee Oh Sees are another group that have a lot of good stuff about at the moment. They lean more towards the heavy/garage rock side of psych. Great rhythm section too. Their LPs are on all on YouTube, this is my fave.
