Game on!

Here are your scenarios below gents. In previous years, people have just posted their entries in the thread so I suggest we do the same for this. So once you're ready, go ahead and post.

Like the bracket draw - these scenarios were also drawn at random. If you don't like your scenario - tough titties I'm afraid. No swapsies.

Deadline: Tuesday - 6PM. Five days including the weekend should hopefully be plenty of time for you all. If we get all the entries in by then, the panel can view the entries, give comments and vote by Wednesday and I can post the first round results on Wednesday/Thursday. Simples.

Remember: Initial 1000 word limit on the entries.

Any further queries, @ me on here and I'm more likely to respond quicker (or PM if you prefer).

Happy booking!

Match 1: @HarmonicGenerator vs @cobra_gordo - The crowning of a new King

king-mabel-of-the-ring-2122031.jpg.e5ee2902147ff055e5361184a23c685c.jpg

We know WWE love a good tournament these days, whether it be a Mae Young or Cruiserweight Classic, a number 1 contender tournament, etc. Yet the once fabled King of the Ring hasn't been staged since Bad News Barrett took the crown in 2015. I also quite like the symmetry of this draw as the current King of the fantasy booking realm in HarmonicGenerator begins the defence of his crown...by having to crown a NEW King. A foreshadowing?...

CRITERIA

  • Book a 16-man King of the Ring tournament from start to finish.
  • Spread the tournament out across Raw & Smackdown.
  • Book at least ONE previous King of the Ring winner as one of the 16 entrants.
  • Optional: Promote an NXT talent to the main roster for either brand and enter them.
  • Optional: Additional prize for the new King of your choosing, i.e a title opportunity.

Match 2: @Joe Blog vs @Liam O'Rourke - A Dangerous new Alliance?

With Brock Lesnar finally dropping the Universal title to Roman Reigns and preparing for his latest stint in the UFC, there have been constant rumblings about Paul Heyman's next move. Who - if anyone - will be the next beneficiary of his advocacy with Lesnar out of the picture? Will it just be one superstar? Or could he potentially assemble a new alliance of Paul Heyman guys and/or girls?

CRITERIA

  • Assemble a new stable under Heyman's guidance.
  • Book the first three months of their existence (if you have room in your word count for more then go ahead).
  • Include at least one current main roster SINGLES talent and Include at least one current main roster TAG TEAM.
  • Include at least one NXT SUPERSTAR who gets a call up.
  • It must include at least ONE talent from OUTSIDE of the WWE umbrella.

Match 3: @tiger_rick vs @bigfoote - Ooooh you tease!

tumblr_inline_n6kujs3R5S1sp7pxx.jpg.bcb9b31db92d65062a4133d97abfb2b2.jpg

A returning scenario from the last two booking competitions. Breaking up is hard to do, but it often makes for an interesting storyline that can be played out on TV over a period of time, before you move the performers in question on to pastures new - usually feuding with their former partner initially before both set off on a new journey in the singles ranks.

CRITERIA

  • Take a current tag team in a promotion of your choosing and break them up.
  • Book the timeline from the first teases and hints of dissension, the big break up and the aftermath.
  • Keep or turn one performer BABYFACE.
  • Keep or turn one performer HEEL.
  • Book up to at least their first match with each other post-breakup.

Match 4: @LaGoosh vs @Shy Dad - Being the World Wrestling Elite?

Chances are these three might pop up in another scenario - but such is their current demand and status on the independent circuit they merit their own scenario on this occasion. Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks are rumoured to on WWE's hitlist as their contracts come up for renewal with New Japan Pro Wrestling. Like so many of their former peers, will they finally make the jump that many fans have been craving for years?

 CRITERIA

  • Debut Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks in a WWE brand of your choice.
  • Book the first three to five months of their WWE tenure.
  • Book at least ONE six-man tag match with the three men involved.
  • Optional: Debut another Bullet Club member at some point during their initial run.
  • Optional: Add a female talent into the Elite's fold.

Match 5: @Doctor Whos Next vs @Wrasslin - Loser Leaves Town

Mr-Perfect-Ric-Flair.jpg.523c925048d0c31492e8192d9f36266a.jpg

Another scenario making it's return from the 2011 and 2013 Fantasy Booking Competition. One that states the obvious, yet still allows for some creative freedom and isn't something you see all too often these days. Loser leaves town was predominantly used in the territory days as a easy draw for a big show and also as a booking mechanism to effectively write a superstar out of that territory before they moved on to another.

 CRITERIA

  • Book a loser-leaves-town feud.
  • One person MUST leave a promotion. They can't transfer to another brand, they can't return. They lose, they are GONE.
  • Book a compelling rivalry culminating with the match in question.
  • Optional: Put a promotion's championship up for grabs.
  • Optional: Book the loser's debut appearance in the next promotion they show up in.

Match 6: @AdamTH17 vs @Supremo - Tuning up the band once more: HBK returns.

shawn-michaels.thumb.jpg.ca54a5f7de352b1848a4d2dc7f7ba838.jpg

Bit of a contentious one this - after all, many would prefer to see him keep his word on his retirement as so many before him have failed to do. But then again...it's fucking Shawn Michaels. There's a queue of new stars that would love to work a program with him, and with all this new Saudi money coming in, might the Showstopper be tempted to tune up the band one more time?

 CRITERIA

  • Book Shawn Michaels' return to the ring.
  • Book his first match back and select an opponent for his return.
  • Book a compelling build about his return to the ring. Does he jump at the chance to return? Does he need a little persuasion?
  • Optional: Give him a young NXT talent to mentor during his return.
  • Book the first three months of his initial return (or culminate the run after three months).

Match 7 @Mr.Showtime vs @WeeAl - Who's The Daddy?

134_raw_07172017sb_2368-518bbbb354adada8fcff03110d17b607-1500458806-800.jpg.0f5fc922822e4a080dba363eb0f803c6.jpg

Another returning scenario and another one that Vince Russo, who some would argue is the ultimate fantasy booker, would be proud of. And again, it's another soap opera storyline that whilst cheesy, allows for a lot of creativity and mystery surrounding the relevant parties, though admittedly this scenario is probably a lot harder to book in the modern era.

CRITERIA

  • Book a Who's the Mother/Daddy storyline (You pick the gender).
  • Pick a talent and take them on a quest to search for their parent.
  • Book the reveal at the end of a three-month search.
  • Book what happens next. Do they embrace? Do they feud?
  • Optional: Throw in at least one face/heel turn.

Match 8: @TildeGuy~! vs @air_raid - Love Triangle

angle-steph-trips-1489161254-800.jpg.a09bff68c2d1ab4f0a8e09c54b3e0a55.jpg

Let's face it - You can have as many five-star matches on a show as you want, but we all like a bit of soap opera and theatre in our wrestling, don't we? After all, isn't wrestling just a Broadway musical with some bodyslams thrown in? The HHH/Angle/Steph love triangle - while brief - was pretty compelling viewing during the summer of 2000 in the WWF, until they seemingly canned it without much of a payoff.

CRITERIA

  • Book a Love Triangle storyline in a promotion of your choosing.
  • Book an initial three month storyline.
  • Book a clever introduction for the third party who enters the picture.
  • Book at least ONE face or heel turn in this scenario.
  • Optional: Gender and sexuality! It's 2018 after all.

So there you have it. Thanks again for your participation and good luck everyone - looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
