When Spurs released a video about their new ground, one part was met with derision and held as an example of everything wrong with the modern game.  That part was the announcement of on site artisan bakeries and craft breweries.

Ah, right. Fair enough. The way Tottenham has gone, it's not really surprising. It's been gentrified at a rate higher than Shoreditch - the local industrial/business estate is now mostly pseudo-dive bars, artisan food shops & manufacturers, and craft breweries. The new White Hart Lane development is going to reinforce that.

The riots really were a catalyst; drove the prices down, and the property developers swarmed in like locust. One of my friends bought a flat in South Tottenham just before the riots for about ÂŁ200K (cheap for a whole flat in London), and now it's worth half a million. Obscene.

The way Tottenham's going right now, they'll probably get it. There's a relatively newish craft microbrewery called Brewheads - they've just set up shop right next door to Beavertown.

Did you know Beavertown is one of the official partners of the new stadium and will have a micro-brewery on site?

Didn't know that, no. In fairness, I do like their beers. Let's face it, though - they're not really a micro-brewery company any more, are they? With their level of distribution, they've become like Meantime - they're pretty much a standard-sized brewery now.

Yeah, it's nice that they're local to the area as well. I don't understand much of this world, but all I know is that they say there will be a microbrewery on site, and I'll be able to drink ÂŁ8 pints of Neck Oil at half time.

Thing is, this might actually benefit Spurs a lot. Look at Chelsea; a big part of why they were able to compete financially in the 90s was because football became a middle-class game - and middle-class people in Chelsea and west London can afford a lot. The rest of London doesn't have that, except by going after the hipster markets - basically, people rich enough to pretend they're poor.

Did you know that Whitney Houston's debut LP, called simply Whitney Houston had 4 number one singles on it? Did you know that, @Carbomb?

I'm sure I read our new ground will have some kind of specialist cheese shop too.

A 'cheese room', no less! It's mentioned in this article, amongst others: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/jan/20/tottenham-hotspur-new-stadium-cheese-white-hart-lane

Oh, no - you're not getting me with that again.

You can bend over and let Keith look at your asshole.

I’ve seen so many people on Twitter over the past few days defending Mourinho and calling Pogba unprofessional and so on, this just proves how big of a twat Jose is.

Its not like he hasn’t had previous when he was with us.

He’ll be gone by Christmas

I hope so, had a tenner on it in the summer. If he goes by Christmas this season it'll be twice Jose has earned me money with his sackings (backed him to go at Chelsea) So at least some good comes out of that tosser.

United knew what they would get with him. Its why they resisted giving him the job first time around. Wasn't it Bobby Charlton who apparently told the board he was bad news? Usually with Jose the winning offsets the general wankerishness and utterly boring football, but when that's not happening...what then?
