Paid Members Bus Surfer Posted January 15, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted January 15, 2019 Devlin kinda has that early Miz vibe to me. It took a long while for Miz to grow on me before I stopped seeing him as problem child, but Devlin is massively punchable already. Good on him. Paid Members BomberPat Posted January 16, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted January 16, 2019 I'm clearly in the minority, but I think the Finn Balor appearance kind of had the opposite effect to intended. While his entrance got a great pop, it wasn't long after the match had started that it became just a match. It didn't feel like a megastar from the main roster slumming it on the little leagues, or a star-making performance for Jordan Devlin for being able to hang with Finn Balor, it just felt like a wrestling match. It speaks volumes of the "wins and losses don't matter" landscape that a headline guy can come to the developmental territory, wrestle a competitive match with an up-and-comer, and it just feel like an ordinary wrestling match. Jordan Devlin isn't going to feel any more legitimised next week for having held his own against a main eventer, he'll just go back to being another (massive) face in the crowd. It's just another symptom of there being such a clear demarcation between the nominal main eventers, and the Brock Lesnars and Triple Hs that are treated as the real stars. Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted January 31, 2019 Awards Moderator Share Posted January 31, 2019 Well, WALTER’s pretty terrifying, isn’t he? I’m still not convinced there’s a great amount of pro wrestling skill in just hitting someone as hard as you can but my jaw still dropped at that chop. He’s surely the one to beat Dunne and take the title.
Paid Members tiger_rick Posted January 31, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted January 31, 2019 He can't win the title, he's not from the UK! Crazy stuff. Would be like a Japanese guy holding the US Title.
Paid Members Statto Posted January 31, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted January 31, 2019 (edited) I like the fact Walter’s finisher is just a plain old fashioned powerbomb. Enough of this sitout nonsense. Kasey Owens following Kay Lee Ray in making the jump from WoS. Hope some of the decent blokes follow suit once their tour is done. Glad Aichner has dropped that weird metaller look he had going on now he’s teaming with Barthel. Not sure the music should have stuck around though. On the men's side, I'd give a look to: Rampage Brown Sha Samuels Adam Maxted Nathan Cruz Iestyn Rees & Kip Sabian as a team Martin Kirby Robbie X Gabriel Kidd Not saying they'll all come in & tear up trees, but they're as good if not better than some of the guys who are getting used IMO. Viper on the women's side.
WyattSheepMask
If rumours are to be believed, Viper is on her way in. They put the WOS Women’s belt on her on the first night of the UK tour, to get it off of Kay Lee Ray. Viper then said that she’s off as well and they had to do another title change the next night, dropping the belt to Bea Priestly.
TildeGuy~!
Yea Vipers in already, she said her goodbyes on her final Stardom tour and said she was off to WWE
cobra_gordo
Rampage has been over once before in developmental maybe 7 or 8 years ago, I think him and Sha could be great in NXT. Cruz has already done a couple of matches at Full Sail hasn't he so you'd hope he's got a foot in the door, aslong as he's not got a black mark against his name now for working WOS. Seeing as they've picked up Gibson, KLR, Ligero, Mastiff, the Coffey brothers and now Viper after they already worked for WoS, I doubt that will be an issue. WyattSheepMask
How does Primate go from looking like a 6’4” brick-shithouse on the stage to barely being as tall as the bottom rope when he gets to the ring? See, I did think that but none of that lot had ever worked for WWE/NEXT before they were at WOS but Cruz did. Sort of thing they might be arses about. Edit: Was Viper's appearance in the Mae Young Classic before WOS? Edited February 1, 2019 by cobra_gordo

Both- she was one of the main wrestlers on the WoS New Year special, then did the Mae Young Classic, then did the WoS tapings.
