Paid Members Surf Digby Posted June 8, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted June 8, 2020 My Dad was an undertaker and has a fair few tales like that ("but it's worth it as I get to drive a vintage Rolls"). There was one similar to this where they got called to a house where the police had forced entry after neighbours reported not seeing the occupant for a few weeks. Turns out he'd been flat on his back on the living room floor for a few weeks with the heating on. So the collection team put the stretcher down and went to straighten his limbs so they can slide it under him. My Dad grabbed an arm and it just came away in his hand. As firm as a carrier bag full of vegetable oil, apparently.
Paid Members BomberPat Posted June 9, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted June 9, 2020 an old alcoholic who lived around the corner from my old place wasn't found for nearly a year after he died in his chair. Can't even - and don't want to - imagine the state of him.
