The results of the actual matches went into the opening post on Sunday night, and the FPL Cup Final result will follow shortly. Fittingly, both finalists were this round's two highest scorers. Grecian put up a good fight by matching leader MVP RULZ on 7 points (when the weekly average was just 5), but Briefcase with 11 was the only participant into double figures and deservedly takes the silverware. At first it looks like a consolation for a mid-table player, but since TildeGuy had a poor showing this time out, the runners-up spot for Briefcase or Glenryck – the latter being the only other person to get an exact score this week – is still not out of the question. So congrats Briefcase! Here's your trophy:

We normally feature a Monday fixture when there's a Bank Holiday, but it was slim pickings this time so I didn't include one. Looks as if Stinky Dad's given up, and who can blame him for losing motivation at this stage? At least it's too late to get kicked out for missing 3 weeks in a row. Seems like I might end up as the worst of the rest.

It's not clear why scoring was so low, with no outrageous scorelines and only a couple of improbable outcomes that caught people out. Those were the wins for West Brom and West Ham. One was crucial, the other too little too late. Draws at Balaídos, the Weserstadion and Goodison Park proved difficult to foresee, but victories for Bayern, Bournemouth, Watford and Chelsea plus a score draw in El Clásico turned out to be somewhat less fruitful than they probably should've been.

Oh, and the table is up to date now and the next set of fixtures are in the original post too.

The results went into the original post on Sunday night, and I'll done one last update to put the table in there soon. The average score was 9.7 points this week, which would be amazing in a normal round, but it's probably a smidgen below what you'd expect when the maximum possible haul was 78 points. Cup winner Briefcase ended in style as top scorer on 19 points, including 4 exact scores when nobody else managed more than one! He overtook Glenryck for third spot in what was the only bit of movement this time out. Rory continued his atrocious form from throughout the second half of the season to finish as the weekly worst performer (among those who picked on time) and a full 10 points off the top half. Stinky basically gave up the ghost a while ago already and ends a whopping 43 points adrift.

Both the top two scored 10 points in this round, so the final winning margin for MVP RULZ remains at 12 points. Congratulations to him, but it is notable that he got by far the most bonuses, which is ultimately what carried him over the line ahead of TildeGuy and even fifth-placed ultimo, who was the least efficient participants with the bonus points this season – or had the worst luck, if you think about it another way.

Wins for Liverpool, Spurs, Udinese and Monaco generally proved fruitful alongside draws at McDiarmid Park and the Stadio Olimpico. All three Spanish outcomes were almost universally good for at least one-pointers too, whilst only a reverse for Dortmund caught people out among the German results. Unsurprisingly nobody got the exact score from either Wembley or Easter Road, so it's a good job I didn't include the Levante match either! The other two French results and most of the Italian ones turned out to be tough to foresee, as did home defeats for Dundee and Celtic even though neither had anything much left to play for.

Swansea didn't keep up their end of the bargain in the relegation battle and let Stoke drag them down with him, and equally Chelsea – with Champions League qualification still theoretically within their grasp at the start of play – didn't put up much of a fight at Newcastle. Both those outcomes were therefore difficult to guess beforehand, but then again, so was a rare away victory for the Arsenal, in an ultimately meaningless match that will be remembered as the swansong of Arsène Wenger. A single-goal victory for the Gunners sounds like an appropriate send-off to me...
