The results went into the opening post unusually early on Saturday night this time, and the table was figured out soon after that. The average score was just 6.2 points, but there was still a lot of movement as a kind of cumulative effect from previous high-scoring rounds. We have a new leader in MVP RULZ, who's steadily climbed up the standings over the second half of the season. Lowest scorer of the week ultimo moves further away from the chasing back, whilst Stinky is now 30 points behind Grecian in the race to avoid the wooden spoon.

As Rory alluded to above, he got his D2D bet wrong and 7 other participants were able to take advantage of that. Now that the D2Ds are done for the season, we move onto the consolation prize of a secondary competition: the FPL Cup! Nobody has to make their picks any differently because of that, so don't sweat it and I'll do the donkey work. As we don't have a number of players that divides neatly, byes will be needed. Those are based on last season's performance, so Stinky Dad (despite being cast adrift in the league format) goes straight into the next round, whilst Glenryck and MVP RULZ from the current top 3 have to start a little earlier. The draw will be posted at the foot of the original post.

Away from Iran, wins on the road for Bayern and Spurs proved fruitful alongside score draws at AFC Bournemouth, Brighton and West Brom. Surprise reverses for Leicester and Schalke caught most people out, but victory for Burnley at Vicarage Road didn't turn out so tough to foresee. Last but not least, nobody entirely guessed the dramatic second-half turnaround in the Manchester derby beforehand.
