I dont get their philosophy here (well I do, because its Vince ... but) they seem to get most of their guys from ROH these days. Why would you want to buy out the place which gave you CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins and all those other guys they signed? I know ROH isnt up to much these days and they're pipped at the post before they get a chance to develop anyone significant these days, but still. These's going to be WWE and TNA, and then a bunch of promotions who WWE work with thinking WWE are doing them a favour (when in reality they're going to take everything from them and leave them in the dirt eventually).

Its amazing seeing people all chuffed that they're in bed with WWE. You dont work with WWE. You work for them and then they'll throw you in the bin once you have no juice left.

Whilst in New York recently I went to an ROH show. First ever non WWE show I've been to. I paid over $50 for the ticket. Obviously the Hardy's and Bully Ray rocked up, which made it all worthwhile. And tbh the in ring stuff was good. But in relation to WWE it was a world apart. This is the best of the competition? And WWE want to buy them out? I wouldn't bother.

Will wrestling evolve in the future with WWE 'Pepsi Co'ing' the business like in 2001 eventually lead to the evolved style becoming the new 'cookie cutter' wrestler of the mid 2000's. Just a weird lacking sleep thought there.

Basically I see WWE being like those Alex Shane wristbands

Can see Vince's logic here. Some of their brightest stars post-Cena have come through/from there. But they're all fucked by the time they get to WWE. If Vince has ownership he can at least stop the wrestlers there from banging their heads against lamp posts. Buy it out, give them some ground rules, get some more content for the Network, get first dibs on any promising stars.

Who'd be calling the shots, though? Is there anybody there at RoH Vince would trust enough to stay in charge?

You know what'll happen. It would be kept at an arm's length enitity for 6 months to a year before they get fed up and just absorb it into NXT. I sincerely doubt the company has the self discipline to keep them apart from the 'WWE' much like the early attempts of splitting the brands.

May I ask, if you say the in ring stuff was good, what was wrong with it then?

Surely the charm of indy wrestling is that it isn't over produced and looking like more of a hollywood film than a wrestling event. (Yes, I fucking despise the WWE's current style tbh)

Tbh reading that back this morning I realised I'm maybe in a minority. I like the hype and glitz of the WWE, so I was probably expecting something a little more for $50. It actually turned out to be a decent show that I'm pleased I went to. Just seems so far away from what WWE do, and they're reportedly the third biggest company in the states. I just can't see the merits in WWE buying them, other than acquiring the talent I guess.

Oh, and the fans. I finally understand where folk are coming from when they complain about fans. I got sat in front of the world's biggest bell end who actually thought he was a part of the show. Cool section indeed!
