I will actually attend a BritWres show if someone agrees to be 'Jimmy Snooker' for one night. World is missing a snooker based gimmick.

Coming out to the ring to Pot Black in the suit and waistcoat? Using a cue in the style of Jim Cornette's tennis racquet?

Jimmy Snooker's actually been a proposed character in the shady periphery of BritWres for a few years now. It's all good to go. Finish is the 147, hosts an interview segment called The Crucible, only wrestles on his own special green mat, chalks his fists, etc.

Quite a bit of the gripe came out of Buddy Rogers being given the WWWF championship rather than earning it.  As I was saying, Lou was proper old school; if things weren't done in the traditional sense, he wouldn't necessarily endorse whatever it was that he was asked to.

The same Lou Thesz who was awarded the NWA world title by default after champion Orville Brown was in a car accident and unable to compete? That Lou Thesz?

The same.  Context was different though.  Rogers wasn't scheduled to wrestle anyone for the WWWF title, Thesz was.

From Wiki for Orville Brown:  "Brown held the World Heavyweight Championship until he was forced to retire in November 1949 due to injuries he suffered on November 1, 1949 in a car accident.[4] He was scheduled to participate in a unification match against Lou Thesz on November 25, 1949. Thesz was awarded the title as Brown was unable to compete."

From the Wiki for Buddy Rogers: "The WWWF billed Rogers as their world champion since January 25,[6] but did not recognize him as the first ever WWWF World Heavyweight Champion until April 11, 1963 (the official date of Rogers' beginning reign), when promoter and first WWWF President Willie Gilzenberg appeared on Washington, D.C. television in 1963 and officially declared Rogers the first WWWF World Heavyweight Champion by handing him the WWWF world title belt.[7]This was explained by Rogers having won a wrestling tournament in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, although it was fictional.[8] However, WWE.com lists Rogers' reign beginning date on April 25, 1963.[9] Rogers' reign was cut short by a mild heart attack that greatly hindered his endurance."
