The voting has closed and here are the winners (or losers, depending on your viewpoint) of the 2016 UKFF Awards!

Rick - if you could update your History post in the pinned section, that'd be tremendous!

TL;DR:

It's good to be: Goldberg, NXT, Marty Scurll

It's bad to be: TNA (if you're not the Hardys)

The Best of Pro Wrestling

Best Pro-wrestler: AJ STYLES

After 14 years of being phenomenal, Styles is finally, officially the best, with 67% of the total votes. Take solace, Angaar TV fans; the only other nominee with more than a handful of votes was Rohit.

Best Female Wrestler: CHARLOTTE

WWE Women's Champion for a large part of the year, Charlotte's been on top throughout 2016, and this award surely proves it!

Best Match: SHINSUKE NAKAMURA VS SAMI ZAYN, NXT TAKEOVER DALLAS

In an incredibly tight contest, Nakamura vs Zayn just edged out DIY vs Revival to take this award. And deservedly so - what a match it was!

Best Event: NXT TAKEOVER DALLAS

This is NXT's second win in a row in this category.

Best Wrestling TV Show: SMACKDOWN LIVE

Votes were split quite evenly across all the nominees in this category, but SmackDown won by a small margin in their first victory in this category since 2009.

Best Feud / Angle: THE BROKEN HARDYS SAGA

Brrrroother Neeero! King Maxell! Senor Benjamin! Drones! Dilapidated boats! Deletion! 2016's maddest angle was voted its best.

Greatest Moment: GOLDBERG SQUASHES BROCK LESNAR AT SURVIVOR SERIES

What a surreal sentence to write: 'Goldberg squashes Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series'. I never thought that would happen! This continues Brock's trend of winning this award every other year since his WWE return.

Best Babyface: GOLDBERG

Who would have thought a year ago that Goldberg would be the best babyface of 2016!

Best Heel: THE MIZ

A huge victory for Miz in this category, with nearly 2/3 of the total votes going to him. Awesome.

Best Promo: GOLDBERG'S RETURN: "YOU'RE LAST!"

Goldberg joins John Cena, Mark Henry and Ultimate Warrior in the Hall of Best Promo Winners, in his third win of 2016. Miz came a very close second.

Best Tag Team: THE REVIVAL

The top guys in a resounding victory here; the first NXT team to win this award.

Best Wrestling Podcast: SCG RADIO

The second win in a row for Liam and the Lads of the Oaken Table, and with 48% of the total vote, they received almost as many votes as all the other candidates combined!

The Worst of Pro Wrestling

Worst Pro-wrestler: ALBERTO DEL RIO

Narrowly beating HoHo Lun to the award, Alberto is officially the worst of the year.

Worst Match: REBEL VS SHELLY MARTINEZ, TNA ONE NIGHT ONLY

TNA wins another award! This is their third win in this category, and the second for the Knockouts division, if it's still called that.

GTFO: DOLPH ZIGGLER

A late surge of votes for JBL wasn't enough to stop a Ziggler win. The Showoff needs to something else off.

Stupidest Moment: PAUL HEYMAN TRIES TO GET BROCK LESNAR'S HOMETOWN CROWD TO BOO HIM

Silly Heyman. You of all people should know crowds these days do what they want. Even you're not immune.

The Best of British

Best British Wrestler: MARTY SCURLL

This is Scurll's first win in this category.

Best British Match: MARTY SCURLL VS WILL OSPREAY, PROGRESS CHAPTER 25

This only just beat ... another Scurll vs Ospreay match to the award. This is the third consecutive year Ospreay has been in the winning match.

Best British Promotion: PROGRESS

This is the second win in three years for PROGRESS. Well done to them!

The Best of MMA

Best MMA Fighter: MICHAEL BISPING

Taking Conor McGregor's crown, this is the first UKFF awards win for Bisping.

Best MMA Event: UFC205

A landslide victory for 205, which received 84% of the total votes for this category!

Best MMA Fight: CONOR MCGREGOR VS NATE DIAZ, UFC202

This is the first time either fighter has won in this category.

The Best Of The UKFF

UKFF (On-topic) Poster of the Year: IANDREW DICE CLAY

This is the SIXTH win in a row for Ian. Can anyone break the Streak?!

UKFF (Off-topic) Poster of the Year: GUS MEARS

The first win for Gus, who brought humour, references, anecdotes and a fascinating insight into Brexit referendum day this year.

UKFF (MMA forum) Poster of the Year (formerly Best Sports/MMA Poster): WANDSHOGUN09

Wand has never NOT won the MMA poster award!

UKFF Funniest Poster: SCOTT MALBRANQUE

From 'Nickelback Paddywhack' to his review of granny porn, nobody made you LOL more in 2016 than Mr Malbranque.

UKFF Post of the Year: CANNIBAL MAN ('CHEESE ON') (https://ukff.com/topic/137844-wooor-you-like-great-and-woeful-relatives-eh/#entry3062305)

BIT OF AN AWARD IS IT HEY LAD BIT OF A FUCKING AWARD?! NOBODY CAN FUCKING HAVE IT NOW CAN THEY

UKFF Good Egg Award: HARMONICGENERATOR

I'm humbled! I would like to share the award with the other nominees, chokeout, John Matrix, Tommy and bAzTNM#1 please. Thanks everyone :-)

The Worst Of The UKFF

UKFF Dolt Of The Year: WRESTLEUK

A first time winner, at least wrestleuk can take solace in the fact he'll never find out, since he's never seen outside the TNA thread.

UKFF White Noise Award: PATIIRC

A return victory for pat here, who hasn't won this since 2013. Suplex Sinner was an extremely close second.

UKFF Failed Comedian: UK KAT VON D

It's the second win in a row for UKKVD this year.

UKFF 'Oh, just f--- off' Award (formerly 'Wish you weren't here'): DAVID / THE CLINT

Joint winners in this new/returning category! David and The Clint share the responsibility of being the fart in the lift.

Feel free to discuss the results below, and thank you to everyone who made a nomination or cast a vote!

Best Babyface: GOLDBERG

Who would have thought a year ago that Goldberg would be the best babyface of 2016!

It was pretty inconceivable THREE MONTHS AGO that it could have happened!

Excellent job once again this year HG, good arrows.

Rohit is the second best wrestler in the world on here. I'd call that a win in its own. AJ Styles having the best debut year in WWE since Kurt Angle was more than likely going to take it. But Angaar TV at least had to get some recognition for being the best thing I've discovered on here. Shoutout to Alex Wright Mark for sharing that with us all. And who'd have thought Goldberg would be the guy this year?

On another note. Any idea how UFC 205's landslide victory lines up? Could possibly be the biggest win in UKFF Awards History? One to have a look through what we can find.

Yeah great job. Can't say I disagree with most of our winners.

Despite being a bit of an all round weak year for wrestling, those that won have done some exceptional work.

Oh aye, and thanks rick for the nom.

Goldberg won best babyface in one night. The man came across more likable than anyone in WWE in years. Goldberg shouldnt lose ever. He could be their new Lesnar. Just murdering people at big PPVs.

Also, well done HG. I imagine this is a real slog, so cheers for all the hard work.

If one sentence sums up wrestling over the last year it's this.

Great write up HG, nice reading that. Congrats to all the winners and like Rick said, there are tons of others who would've been totally deserving of the wins as well. Some top posters on here.

As I said in the original thread excellent work, as someone that lurked around before signing up and these threads were always a good read.

And yes I know 40% wish I didn't sign up. All good.
