Who was the best of the best in 2016? Cast your votes and support your favourite in this thread!

 

 

The contenders this year:

 

 

AJ STYLES: Debuted in WWE at the Royal Rumble, wrestled Chris Jericho at WrestleMania, became WWE Champion in the autumn.

 

SHINSUKE NAKAMURA: Signed with WWE, debuted at NXT Takeover Dallas, two-time NXT Champion by the end of the year.

 

THE MIZ: Won the Intercontinental Title after WrestleMania, helped throughout the year by Maryse, held the title for much of the year.

 

SAMOA JOE: Won the NXT Title from Finn Balor, main-evented every Takeover, two-time Champion by the end of the year.

 

KENNY OMEGA: Became IWGP Intercontinental Champion in New Japan, and the first non-Japanese winner of the G1 Climax.

 

ROHIT: Breakout star of Angaar TV.

 

CHRIS JERICHO: Turned heel during the year and created the 'List of Jericho'.

Styles. Achieved more than anyone thought possible when the rumours of him signing were first floating around. He's delivered every single week and in the absence of Cena he's carried SD Live very well indeed.

I just remember AJ Styles in January having a quality match with Jericho and standards being so high for him people were like "I dont know if he'll work out in WWE." And by December he's the standard of what a good match. If you cant have a amazing match with him you're considered shit now. Never seen someone build a rep in WWE like he has from January to December.

 

Saying that, its hard to look past Rohit Vishwakarma.
