Dr Reefer
 Michael you've obviously been around these parts a good while. In all that time have you ever seen one of these tantrums go well for the OP?

Paid Members Teedy Kay Posted December 17, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted December 17, 2016 My favourite cricketer is Robin Smith, a wonderful apartheid tache and a lovely square cut!
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted December 17, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted December 17, 2016 If we're talking great cricketing tashes, you can't look any further than Merv Hughes. Beautiful face foliage.

Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted December 17, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted December 17, 2016 Clive Rice had a tremendously underrated moustache. Rice and Richard Hadlee were a great opening tash tandem at Nottinghamshire. None better in county cricket.
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted December 17, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted December 17, 2016 The modern Aussies penchant for moustaches is just not the same. They just don't have the thick bristles and darby combo of the 80's. David Warner's is an especially poor effort. Just looks like he'd come up for air after a moderate rimming session. Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted December 17, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted December 17, 2016 Mitchell Johnson's was a good stab at the old style tache, I thought. Reminded of fellow Aussie left arm paceman Bruce Reid.
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted December 17, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted December 17, 2016 Actually you're right. It's definitely the lack of enormous gut. It's why Jesse Ryder is this generations finest cricketer.
Paid Members Teedy Kay Posted December 17, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted December 17, 2016 England were always more reserved on the Tache front, the wondefully kept Robin Smith, the bushy yet managed Gooch (oo-er), the Yorkshire forged Botham and the Pint of Timothy Taylor dowsed Jak Russell were standouts. Â Merv and Boon's were unkept and wild, just like the ideology of what Australian men should be, they were strainers for unwanted Castlemaine froth and singed from smoking till the filter caught alight. They were the Chopper Reads of cricket.
