Royal Rumble Wishlist and Predictions

It's still a while away but this Royal Rumble is more exciting than it's been in years. What do you wanna see happen?

Outside the main match I hope there's something big on the undercard. It was a bit shit this year but the last few had some great matches on them. AJ against someone would be a safe bet.

I hope there's some proper Shield development in there which leads them to a triple threat at Wrestlemania. Turns out there's already been a Shield triple threat.

As for Brock and Goldberg, I wanna see Brock come in around #20, destroy everyone in the ring and the next few entrants as the crowd are begging for Goldberg to come out. Ellsworth comes out at number 29. Brock starts throwing Ellsworth about and Goldberg's entrance starts (proper entrance with security escorting him to the ring as Brock watches the Tron). Have Ellsworth eliminate Brock (yes, I said that) by pulling the ropes down as he runs them. Then have Goldberg win.

Would be a great moment and would add more fuel to Brock as he goes into Wrestlemania against Goldberg.

Really? Nah, I don't see it. Why would anyone care about seeing the three face each other when they already did it a few months ago on a B-level PPV? I'd say a Shield reunion 6-man match is more likely,

RAW SPOILERS

However it looks like we're getting Rollins VS Triple H instead. Yay.

I'm hoping for a Finn Balor return, if he's recovered, and a debut from Joe or Nakamura.

I'm also on board with the Goldberg & Brock destroying Ellsworth in a 'willy waving' kind of manner.

I want to see Taker or Cena in the Rumble, with the other one facing Styles for the belt. I'm ready for them to move past Styles and Ambrose now and hope they don't try and stretch it until January.

Alternatively, put them both in the Rumble and promote someone from the midcard to face Styles on the Royal Rumble show. That in itself isn't that easy considering the position the mid card faces on Smackdown are in at the minute.

Would love to see proper big name Rumble. Goldberg/Brock obviously. Cena/Undertaker would be good. Then you can throw in Rollins/Ambrose/Roman and its a decent showing.

I would love to see Ellsworth also in there but wouldn't even mind if he faced Aj Styles on a one v one match at the Rumble, yeah Styles would win comfortably but would at least end that story.

If Ellsworth did enter the Rumble I would love for him to win a Battle Royale to earn his place, so that he seriously thinks he can win it only to get totally destroyed by Brock/Goldberg/Strowman/Corbin.

I think they will likely put Brock in during the 20's with Goldberg being 29 or 30, however I'd much rather see Goldberg earlier on have a tussle with a few other big names if this is his only chance to perhaps lock up with other people.

in fact I would have Lesnar come in at perhaps number 3 and just smash a few lower card guys out until about number 10 then have Goldberg come out, do the Elsworth stuff and then have Goldberg knock Lesnar out of the ring, have this followed by perhaps Cena and a few other big names to see them roll with big Bill, then have a pissed off Lesnar march back out and take Goldberg out and give him a beating.

I'm still hoping for that AJ Vs Taker match at the rumble but if not someone suggested Rhino which I think would be a fairly interesting Rumble style one off challenger. If Taker wins the belt here I could see Cena either win the rumble or win Elimination Chamber as it didn't seem set which brand would have that PPV (I'm guessing the one which doesn't have the rumble winner). Alternatively If they are wrapping up the Wyatt Orton stuff before Mania I could see Orton Vs AJ being on the cards.

Really wish Shelton could come in for it but no idea on his injury status, a "top this" of staying in between him and Kofi would be quite fun to watch.

It surely has to be Bossman's year next year? I'm hoping number 30 comes, the lights drop as if to tease an Undertaker entrance, then this:

The whole Alamodome singing along could be one of the first big moments of 2017.

Then we get Roode Vs Styles closing 'Mania.

I'd have Brock come out around number 10 and eliminate a load of mid-card lads and clear the ring. Have Ellsworth come out next and walk to the ring ridiculously slowly because he's shitting himself about what he's walking in to. Maybe walk around the ring and have folk trying to encourage him to get in, by the time he gets round to the ramp side of the ring the countdown clock hits zero and Goldberg's music plays.

Cue more Ellsworth shitting himself because he's now the unfortunate meat in the sandwich. Have Goldberg totally ignore Ellsworth and have him and Brock leather each other for a bit. The two big lads are brawling in the corner as Ellsworth gets his courage up but they both end up smashing in to him and he pulls Brock over the top accidentally as he goes sailing out himself. Lesnar points at Goldberg and tells him he can wait and hen basically repeat the Undertaker and Maven stuff and have Lesnar throw old James around the building, chuck him through a popcorn machine, F5 on a car, just murder the poor bastard.

Strowman to win.

Might be a bit random, but with the rumors and everything, do we reckon there is a chance Hogan will be involved in the Rumble? Just a quick in/out style elimination?

As for what goes on in the rumble, it depends on a lot of things.

Is this Takers final year? (if so, have him win it + challenge for the title or win the title prior to the rumble)

Do you have Goldberg/Lesnar win it? (I presume then to challenge for the Universal title)

Do you have any of the Sheild guys win it?

Have a random mid-card guy win it for a bit of a push?

Potentially have a NXT call up win it for a big debut?

Is Balor back in time?

Ellsworth in the Rumble would be great because there's potential for a Maven style upset that would be amazing if they get it right,

Could tie that into the Brock / Goldberg storyline. Have Brock in about 18/20. Destroy everyone but not clear the ring. Ellsworth at 25 and Brock battering him for fun mocking him and flooring everyone before 27 comes out. Goldberg out and Brock watching him at edge of ring. Others recover and throw him out from behind with Ellsworth getting last push. Brock cant believe it so goes after Goldberg on the ramp (protecting either of them from doing the job for the other). Mini brawl finishes and Goldberg gets to ring as 28 comes out.

Spear central for everyone and a military press for Ellsworth to throw him out.
