Must be a confidence boost for its roster though, being on 205 Live. "We're too shit and small even for Raw."
DavidB6937
More Gable/Gallagher this week. Worth tuning in for even if you're not a regular viewer.
Paid Members I Bent My Wookie Posted July 17, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted July 17, 2019 Plus more Maverick goodness.
Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted July 18, 2019 Author Awards Moderator Share Posted July 18, 2019 (edited) Agreed on both counts. Maverick is quickly turning into one of my favourite WWE things to watch - his segment this week was like the mega underdog Spud of old FWA - and Gable-Gallagher was a fantastic match. I’d say ‘build this show around Gable’, but then a guy that good should be on one of the main shows, but then the main shows would probably ruin him, so 205 it is. DavidB6937
Didn't think I'd be seeing that main event on WWE TV quite so soon but a solid effort from the guys. Maverick in an Unsanctioned match next week!
Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted July 24, 2019 Author Awards Moderator Share Posted July 24, 2019 (Isaiah Swerve Scott does a move) Vic: I’ve never seen anything like that before! Aiden: Me neither! (We saw Scott do this exact move in the video package immediately before this match, taken from the only other televised WWE match he’s had.) Proving even the 205 Live announcers don’t watch 205 Live. Good main event though!
Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted August 1, 2019 Author Awards Moderator Share Posted August 1, 2019 Me again. This week’s main event of Kanellis vs Drake Maverick is wonderful. Drake plays the pure underdog babyface in the classic Spud way that reminded me of the first time I saw him against James Tighe in FWA in 2004. By the time he makes his comeback he’s got the crowd in the palm of his hand. Lovely stuff.
DavidB6937
Absolutely agreed. It brings a smile to my face to think of watching the guy back at Orpington Halls down the road from where I used to live, and now he's having a chance to win over a far bigger crowd and doing a fantastic job. He's genuinely one of the most entertaining guys on the roster now. Sure, I also saw guys like AJ, Joe, KO and Sami etc there, but there's definitely a sense of pride for someone homegrown to be getting the opportunity he is after so many years. Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted September 6, 2019 Author Awards Moderator Share Posted September 6, 2019 This week on 205 Live there was a “this is awesome” chant for Mike Kanellis vs. Tony Nese. I interpret that more as an indictment of how little that chant now means than any reflection on the quality of the match itself.
TildeGuy~!
Nice to see Kushida’s debut was overshadowed by a dad in the audience trying to get his child over. I hate WWE crowds.
The King of Old School
Completely forgot Kushida was a thing.

I hate WWE crowds. What was he doing to put the attention on his kid? Surely this is a one-off for Kushida in a “you can see Kushida on NXT, Coming to USANetwork next week love!” sort of way

Paid Members tiger_rick Posted September 11, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted September 11, 2019 Fuck sake. If it wasn't for that guy, Kushida could have been playing to the sound of silence. Ruined it for everyone.
