Philjax
Good lord, Mustafa Ali is certainly trying his best to make us remember him. I actually want this final on the main show now. He's gotta win. He actually seems like he's too good to be slumming it with the cruiserweights. I wanna see him face AJ some day! I notice Buddy Murphy was referred to as still being property of NXT too as if far greater things are destined for him aswell.
Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted March 28, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted March 28, 2018 205 Live having another great week. Andrews vs Nese was a solid match and the main event was really good. Some great spots in the match, Buddy Murphy really shined and I’m big fan of his finisher.
The King of Old School
Ive always like Buddy Murphy to be honest, think he could be a good mid card act on one of the main shows.
Paid Members Statto Posted March 29, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted March 29, 2018 Is Buddy Murphy still with Alexa Bliss IRL? I think I've made it obvious I'm something of a Murphy mark earlier in this thread, but I genuinely think he could be a big star if they put him & Alexa together as a couple on screen. Paid Members PunkStep Posted March 29, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted March 29, 2018 I think they are, but I don't agree that they should pair them together. The gulf between the two of them is too vast in terms of star power at the moment. He'll just be a Mike Kanellis.
Paid Members Supremo Posted March 30, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted March 30, 2018 It won’t happen, but imagine if they put the final of the Cruiserweight Tournament on the NXT Takeover show rather than Wrestlemania? It’d get a thousand times the reaction and be far more enjoyable for it.
BrodyGraham
I said the same thing to some friends a few weeks ago and they poo poohed it. I'd much rather they have the developmental or secondary brands have the TakeOvers as a longer cross brand special, where the fans who'd be invested in those divisions are all in the same place. That said on Mania the Cedric vs Ali match has the potential to be a breath of fresh air, whilst on TakeOver it'd be just another 4 Star match. The Dart
I'm surprised they haven't done a NXT/205/UK joint special. Maybe it's something they'll do in the future.

Which will be appropriate as, if previous years are anything to go by, 'fresh air' is what'll be filling most of the seats whilst it's on. uklaw
Until confirmed otherwise, and as good a job as has been done with the brand, ultimately I still think Vince will decide to put the match on the 2 hour pre-show (even though it appears the main card will be at least 5 Hours).
Paid Members PunkStep Posted March 31, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted March 31, 2018 At least five hours long? That's not true, is it? The main show went 4 1/2 last year I thought. In fairness, the match doesn't warrant a spot on the big show. Nothing against the two competitors, but it's not a patch on the other matches in terms of interest or star power. The pre-show is its rightful spot.
The Dart
Last year was 5 hours 15 minutes, and the Network schedule has it as 5 hours this year, so that's probably what they're aiming for.

Yeah, as far as the decision-makers go, if Neville/Aries last year doesn't warrant a main-card spot - this sure as hell doesn't.
Guest
The only way I see it on the main card is if Neville makes a return, which I wouldn't rule out.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted April 2, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted April 2, 2018 If Neville is coming back, they'd do it for the post-Mania Raw, rather than on the big show where he'll be a massive afterthought.
