Cousin Jim Bob
Mike Bohn of MMAJunkie saying Jacare was brought in as alternate for Weidman/Romero. He is not fighting on the card. Â Helwani says Cerrone will get his show money.

Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted November 11, 2016 Author Paid Members Share Posted November 11, 2016 That's good, cheers Jim. Â Dave Scholler's confirmed it's a 5 fight main card. Jacare and Kennedy aren't fighting. And Thiago Alves can't weigh more than 173lbs tomorrow and 20% of his fight purse goes to Miller. Â Phew. Fucking circus and I'm gutted about Cowboy-Gastelum but it could've been a lot worse, I guess. Roll on tomorrow.
Guy Bifkin
There were a lot of rumours about Weidman's weight and it was quite dramatic when the towel came out. Other highlights were Conor and Woodley having a little face off in the refreshment area at the side. Meisha Tate looked superfine and in much better knick than for the Nunes fight.

Paid Members WeeAl Posted November 11, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted November 11, 2016 It really was too good to be true for this card to go unscathed, but at least it wasn't any of the top 4 fights. We still get Rashad v Kennedy next month. Â I feel sorry for Cowboy as he's entertaining as hell and I couldn't wait to see him hopefully beat Gastelum, but maybe we get to see Cowboy beef up the 206 card against somebody. Missing weight by that much isn't fair at all and Gastelum needs to move to 185 now or be cut.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted November 11, 2016 Author Paid Members Share Posted November 11, 2016 I'd like to see that Cerrone vs Lawler fight rescheduled. That was the fight that was originally being pencilled in for this 205 card. Depends when Lawler's going to be ready to jump in again though, I guess. Presuming Cowboy's going to be wanting to fight ASAP. Â And fuck Gastelum. I didn't know the details of this whole thing until just now. I assumed it was just yet another standard weight miss from him. But for him to not even bother showing up at the weigh ins to face the music in person, then just announcing on twitter that he won't be fighting as he couldn't make weight? That's some bullshit. And given his previous, I'd sack the knob. Talent aside, he's unreliable and you can never trust him to make weight. Let him go and be Bellator's fattest welterweight or something. Paid Members lambyUK Posted November 11, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted November 11, 2016   What the fuck. Jacare has randomly weighed in...189llbs.  Perhaps he's going in against Tim Kennedy? Nothing known yet. Perhaps circling against Romero or Weidman drop out.   Can't see that being the case as that's never happened before. Kennedy is the only one that makes sense considering he randomly weighed in himself.    You were right Jim. Hats off.  I can't recall the last time an alternate weighed in for a non title event, especially considering both fighters made weight anyway? TildeGuy~!
Main Card will now go ahead with just the 5 fights, the UFC are looking to confirm a fight for Cerrone at 206 within the next few days
AdamTH17
Add me to the "Fuck Kelvin Gastelum" brigade as well. What a bollocks ache for Cerrone, first missing the 200 card, then having his Lawler fight dropped, now a fight altogether. Shit deal for him. Â Skimming through the weigh-in pictures from earlier. Conor, Johnson, Tate, Romero, Wonderboy and Woodley all look the business. Stephens, Boetsch, Joanna and Alves look shit in comparison. Â So excited for tomorrow, it's almost here! seanz25
Slightly off-topic but if anyone gets a chance I've written up a quick preview for the McGregor fight over on my blog. Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted November 11, 2016 Author Paid Members Share Posted November 11, 2016 Just seen something on twitter that Cerrone vs Matt Brown has been verbally agreed for UFC 206 in Toronto next month. Get in! I prefer that to this Gastelum fight. Â Source is Damon Martin. Name rings a bell as being reliable but I can't remember who he is. Â Edit - he writes for FOX Sports and UFC.com. So about as legit as if gets.

I do have to query one thing: Â "he looks to capture the lightweight title belt and in the process become only the 3rd person in UFC history to hold belts in two different weight-classes simultaneously". Â I know Penn and Couture held belts at multiple weight classes, but was it simultaneously?
