It's always been promoted as a one night only "Live Event" (which is what they call their house shows) from the very beginning. On topic. Mrs. NIB, NIB Jr. and Myself are all heading down for this. Little man loves Reigns and Rollins so he'll be pleased that it's the Raw crew. He doesn't know we're taking him yet, so he'll be super happy after watching Smackdown in the morning then getting to see them in person for the first time. I'd understand if they advertised Backlash in London and then switched it to a Raw crew house show, but there was literally nothing from WWE that indicated that this was ever going to be some sort of special/ppv. How can anyone be entitled to something that they were never going to receive? And how can those same people be entitled to complain about not getting something that they were never entitled to? First part true. It was never advertised as a Network special. Second part, not true. The initial advertising definately implied it would be. Yes, it didn't say it would be, but the wording was clearly specifically chosen. I can't remember the exact wording, but saying "a first event of its kind since June 2003" is obviously implying something. Why would they say that if it was always planned to just be a regular house show? Plus, when it was announced we didn't know there was going to be a PPV 4 days later, and they might not have known either. Perhaps when they decided they changed their minds on this. And now they're doing 7 extra "PPVs" a year, they won't be doing "network specials" anymore, so this was changed to a house show. I am fairly confident based on the original advertising, which was changed some time later, that at one point this was planned to be a Network special. As for the "first event of its kind since June 2003" quote, I refer you to the promotional video that was posted on the day this event was announced. There is absolutely no mention of it being a "first of its kind" or anything else.
