Paid Members Egg Shen Posted October 16, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted October 16, 2017 at 10am in South Wales it looked like it was 6am outside, very eerie.
Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted October 16, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted October 16, 2017 I thought I was imagining things when I went out earlier and the sky was a weird colour. Turns out, it's some dust from the Sahara Desert that's causing it.
Paid Members BomberPat Posted October 16, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted October 16, 2017 Dust from the Sahara, and smoke from Portuguese wildfires. Was very odd down here this morning; dark enough for the streetlights to come on, but all tinted yellow.
Moderators Astro Hollywood Posted October 16, 2017 Moderators Share Posted October 16, 2017 Sepia night-time here. Super, super weird. I'd take a photo, but it doesn't do it justice. Absolutely pitch black indoors without the lights on, and yellow-tinged nuclear winter outdoors, like a Fincher film.
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted October 16, 2017 Author Paid Members Share Posted October 16, 2017 It was like that in Swindon until about an hour ago, it's now incredibly bright and hot. A total 180 from this morning.

This very accurately describes how it looks up here at the moment too. Surreal.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted October 16, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted October 16, 2017 It looks amazing outside, such a beautiful sight. As somebody joked on Twitter, the hipsters have finally found a way to apply an Instagram filter on the whole of London. It certainly beats the depressing greyness we have to look at from October to April every year.

Been like this all day in Nottingham up until about a half hour ago, it's back to normal now.
Paid Members FLips Posted October 16, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted October 16, 2017 Bright red moon up here in the North. Very unsettling.
Ladiesman345
It only started getting light at about 2pm here in Glasgow. It was dark and grey like Gotham City.

Paid Members Carbomb Posted October 16, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted October 16, 2017 Feels like I'm in an out-take from a Guy Ritchie East End gangster movie. Or just in the East End.
Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted October 16, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted October 16, 2017 Dublin wasn't badly affected, to be honest. A few swift gusts, but that was it really. People with their pots gone all day in Dublin, over something that just made the trees look a bit more Autumny, essentially. Our barometer at home was the brick on top of the wheely bin lid that remained defiant throughout. Feel very sorry for Waterford, Cork, Mayo and down and over yonder as they have been absolutely battered by all accounts.
