Tamura
The Dupps vs. The Johnsons. I'm amazed that Russo never booked that in 2002.

Paid Members garynysmon Posted June 7, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted June 7, 2016 Trying to think if there's anyone from the 80's WWF era who could still work a semi-decent match. Only the Honky Tonk Man, Greg Valentine (?), Brutus Beefcake, Road Warrior Animal, Jim Duggan, Jake Roberts and maybe Tito Santana (?) immediately spring to mind. Jon-Carr_92
I'd add Tatanka to that list, unless he was more early 90s. He can still go, really nice guy too.

Paid Members Statto Posted June 9, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted June 9, 2016 You need to have someone a bit incongruous on the show - the Julio Fantastico slot. Someone who is not of the 'era' primarily represented, way younger than the average age of the talent, has a TINY bit of TV exposure (ideally as a jobber), and is a SUPREME worker at least in comparison to the current state of the others on the card. Any suggestions? No-one who has jobbed on WWE's c-shows in the last few years springs to mind.

Paid Members air_raid Posted June 9, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted June 9, 2016 The Mamalukes & Tony Marinara VS The Mean Street Posse Essa Rios VS Juventud Guerrera The Headbangers VS The Insane Clown Posse Gangrel VS Vampiro NO DQ MAIN EVENT : Bobcore & D'Lo VS The Harris Boys The opening match has a "Winners appoint a GM" stip hanging over it which is an excuse for a dirt-cheap indy bullshit exchange of promos where the Posse hint that if they win, Shane will be the GM for the evening. Nobody buys it, obviously. The Mamalukes win and reveal Disco Inferno is going to be GM for the night, OBVIOUSLY. He declares he has ultimate say-so over who appears and doesn't and that (the previously advertised for this show) Buff Bagwell is now BANNED FROM THE BUILDING (oh noes!) !!!111 The main event is a meandering brawl in which, after a nonsensical ref bump (yes, in a no-DQ match) Disco gets involved trying to help the Harrisi win. The BANNED(!) Buff shows up, and in his only contribution to the show, chases Disco off allowing Sparky and D'Lo to win. After the match Buffy gets on the mic and says, to the crowd's delight, "Well, you didn't get Sting, and you didn't get Goldberg, but you got Buff, and I'm the stuff." I'm out.
