Just had a look at the final table, and even if they had finished on the same points, Man Utd had a 9 goal advantage anyway. But god, now I want to see a play off for the title.

United beat Forest 5-0 the week before and 3-0 on the last day of the season. Where as Newcastle beat Leeds 1-0, and drew with Forest  and Spurs 1-1 in the final 2 games. So goal difference was a big possibility until United went made in the last 2 games and Newcastle bottled it.

Edit: sadly I knew all that without using google, but I think I'm right there.

Obviously 2002 had you winning at Old Trafford, but that was 2 from the end of the season right?

You're conveniently forgetting where we won the league in 2004! ;)

I forgot you guys have won the league as recently as that. Yet poor Arsene is still getting it in the neck from ungrateful gooners.  ;)

:(

Back onto the 'who should replace Wenger if he left, although he isn't' topic, the chief sports writer of the Daily Star (I know) has named his ideal replacement:

I can’t be alone in thinking Rodgers might just be the ideal replacement for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger when the Frenchman decides to sack himself.

Yes you fucking well are alone in thinking that.

I think I may well eject the testicles from my shaft if that happens.

Looking forward to the .jpg of Rodgers looking up the sky to Herbert Chapman and Tom Whittaker to ask how he's doing.

That Rodgers picture is the most cringey fan made art I've seen and I've seen the erotic Stevie and Xabi pic and that God awful Moyes painting.

I can think of at least one person who might also think it.

Was that Rodgers "How Am I Doing Boss?" pic actually fan art originally then?! That's brilliant. I had always assumed it was knocked up by a United fan as a piss take.

Which was the Moyes painting?

It's the 'but he is a winner' part that floors me.

That poor cunt had to have bought into his own hype. Only explination as to why he went from a good manager to thinking he was Carlo Ancholoti, even though he hasnt strung a run of wins together in years as a manager. He just looks terrible in everyway for Sunderland. Big time Charlie attitude, miserable cunt who blames everyone but himself (and does it openly, mind!), horrible transfers. Yet, he was really good at one point. God I wish he'd have taken that Villa or Spurs job years ago when they offered him it. Would have been interesting to see if he'd have faired leaving Everton. The only place he really knew.

I think the United job just destroyed Moyes and I think its a case that he cannot motivate himself or anybody else as they are not quite on that same level, it wouldn't surprise me if we saw the same with Big Sam at Palace although I am convinced now that Boro & Sunderland will sink and Palace will somehow get out of it as Hull are probably worse off.
