d-d-d-dAz
I want 45 year old Dan Henderson to win the title and give his post match interview from the comfort of a hastily arranged armchair.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted June 10, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted June 10, 2016 it dont make a lot of sense from a standing persective but if the UFC want to re-run Rockhold/Weidman and Jacare is unavailable for whatever reason, id love to see a Bisping/Henderson rematch. Paid Members ElCece Posted June 10, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted June 10, 2016 Henderson is the one match I would give Bisping a resonable shot it. Again he would need to avoid the big shot
Paul2j
It has to be Jacare. Romero or Weidman if he is out. Â Bisping vs Jacare at Manchester makes all the sense in the World. Â Weidman vs Romero at New York. Â Rockhold can avenge the Belfort loss.
d-d-d-dAz
You can't give Bisping Jacare in Manchester. That's just fucking cruel. Â Let his moment come to a crushing end in his home town? Â Jesus. Â At least let him lose with dignity to Dan Henderson in Las Vegas, you cruel sod.
jimufctna24
Few of us gave Bisping a chance against Rockhold or Anderson. Yet, he proved us wrong on both occasions. I'd pick Jacare and Weidman to beat him, but I'm done dismissing Bisping's chances altogether.  I'd ideally like Hendo to retire. He had the perfect send off. However, Bisping vs Hendo 2 does hit the spot. A fight I would look forward to, rather than just being something on the calendar.
seanz25
Reckon Bisping beats hendo, Bisping's fairly durable to shots and really with all due respect Lombard should have put Hendo away in the 2nd. Even just for a one off big moment, Hendo Bisping in Manchester would be awesome.
Paul2j
Henderson has lost 3 of his last 5, 6 of his last 9 and is on a huge one fight win streak. Â He has no business being anywhere near a conversation about Title fights.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted June 11, 2016 Author Paid Members Share Posted June 11, 2016 He doesn't but at this point, I wouldn't be against just giving him the shot. If Rockhold was still champion I'd say no fucking way do you give Hendo a shot but the Bisping vs Hendo 2 thing writes itself. Hendo can argue that 'hey, I scored one of the most well known, most watched and replayed KOs in MMA history on the current champ'. And from Bisping's POV, he gets the opportunity to avenge the most devastating loss of his career. Â Plus, aren't Weidman and Jacare injured? And Rockhold's got the MCL tear, hasn't he? And Romero is fresh off a PED scandal. I guess it could depend on how quick Bisping wants to get back in there. If Bisping and Hendo are good with a quick turnaround then you can easily justify Bisping vs Hendo 2 for the title and it wouldn't be cock blocking the other top contenders because they're all out to either injuries or drug suspensions. Â We're all still reeling from Bisping's win last week but if he manages to squeeze in a win over Hendo in 2016 as well, avenging his worst loss...then he's got Fighter Of The Year all wrapped up for me. He probably has already but that'd just cement it. A win over Anderson Silva which no-one said he could win, a first round KO to win the title off Rockhold which no-one said he could do and then avenging the loss to Hendo. All in one year?! Yeah, we can officially call 2016 the Year Of The Count. Believe you me. Â But yeah, basically, if it was anyone else but Bisping holding the title, I'd say Hendo shouldn't be near the title shot. But him and Bisping going at it again after all these years, for the title, especially if they put it in Manchester...it's an open goal.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted June 11, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted June 11, 2016 yeh, pretty much what wand. says...under any other circumstances it wouldn't make sense, but im up for it if it's Bisping.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted June 11, 2016 Author Paid Members Share Posted June 11, 2016 Are the UFC definitely coming to Manchester this year then? I've seen that come up a few times lately but can't see a date confirmed anywhere. Â Bisping has already said he'd like to do his first title defence in the UK as well, specifically mentioning the Millennium Stadium. Â "I would love to defend the title in the UK later on this year. That would be a dream come true. I'm not talking names at the moment, I'm just relishing in my victory, it was only a few days ago! There's plenty of fantastic fighting talent out there, and I'm sure between myself at the UFC we'll pick the right person and give the UK a fight they want to see. I would love to fight in the UK later in the year, regardless of where it is, but the Millennium Stadium would be amazing."
seanz25
The UFC definitely have an event lined up for October/November over here. That was confirmed on another European post presser recently. Have heard Manc mentioned quite a bit rumor wise. Or the Hydro in Glasgow.
Paid Members lambyUK Posted June 11, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted June 11, 2016 The ufc will have to make a call whether they are willing to put the middleweight title on a fight Night show. Â I'm not sure they would be willing to do that to be honest, but you never know.
Paul2j
I get the logic behind Bisping vs Henderson 2 - but that surely goes out of the window because of the belt. Â Even if you discount the obvious top four contenders (Jacare, Romero, Weidman, Rockhold) - the likes of Whittaker, Brunson and Mousasi are far more deserving of a Title fight at this point. d-d-d-dAz
Whittaker, Brunson and Mousasi have as much chance of moving the PPV needle as I do.
