Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted April 28, 2016 Paid Members Posted April 28, 2016 Online friends are a bit like therapy, I suppose. Norn Irish and shouty? Yeah, sometimes. Â I'm with Pitcos on the idea that without the internet I might try to make more friends in the meatspace - I should at least start with online friends within a bus ride, and move on from there
Sphinx Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 The idea of talking to someone about issues that you wouldn't with your friends and family is common. Like a passenger on an airplane that may unload all their issues onto the person next to them over a drink. I guess you form habits with your friends and family and certain topics become taboo (like an older brother may tell a 'whining' younger brother to man up, so he then won't confide in the future).
