Does he have the actual stock certificate? I went to the Museum of American Finance, and they had a load of stock certificates, something I'd never seen before.

I hope my old man brain isn't failing me but I can recall an image of it being put up.

One of the issues with buying through online stockbrokers is that they are often nominee, so you don't get the WWE stock certificate, or your own name on the shareholder register. 

 

I've been out of the share dealing game for some time, does anyone have amy recommendations for buying? Fancied getting a couple of shares as a present, just as a novelty more than anything else.

There are places that do stocks as gifts like giveashare.com or uniquestockgift.com.  You get one share/nominal amount of shares with a nice certificate.  They're purely a novelty as the fees wouldn't make buying stocks as an investment through them a good idea :D
