Me being me again.

I try to give you an incentive to pick on time near the end of the season with this new Cup thing, but no, you have to carry on with the habit of a lifetime.

That said, with only half the games on Sunday this time, you could yet salvage something.

The results of both 'our' Cup ties and the actual football matches went into the opening post on Sunday night. The table was worked out shortly thereafter and uploaded here earlier tonight. Sometime in between, I made the draw for the next round of the inaugural FPL Cup...

... but I'm getting ahead of myself. That can wait for another thread. Scoring was back up to a reasonable average of 7.21 points this week, although only MVP RULZ and Glenryck Pilchards managed that sum (rounding downwards). For the former, that was a winning effort against Briefcase to qualify for the first round proper, whilst for the latter participant it was enough to see him remain 39 clear at the summit, despite joint top scorer TildeGuy's haul of 13 points.

The other best performer, Stinky Dad, saw off a decent challenge from TUFCfan in the Cup, as his opponent also made it into double figures. Somehow seph sneaks through against Nana despite missing half the games! As for the fixtures:

Jamie Vardy's second goal in injury time cost a heck of a lot of people two points since they'd backed Leicester to continue their run of single-goal victories. The French outcomes proved tough to guess beforehand, but everyone took at least a point from the cakewalk on a terrible Hampden pitch.

A score draw at Vicarage Road was fruitful, as was yet another reverse for the hapless Magpies at St Mary's. Less useful were a first league win for Palace since December 9th and an equally rare defeat for Chelsea. Wins for Spurs and Bournemouth yielded at least a point for most players.

Right, as promised – a new thread with the last 16 of the Cup will be along shortly.
