Mr_Danger
I imagine you could power through by just doing shrines and main story but the bosses would be incredibly hard and you'd miss out on loads. I like to mooch about exploring and slowly powering up before moving on to the next main story part and I spend hours on the divine beasts and that's with the occasional trip to IGN wikis (don't judge me I got 5 kids to feed!). I'm predicting I'll plough more hours in to it than i did RDR2 and i finished that at eighty something percent total completion.
Paid Members Accident Prone Posted December 27, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted December 27, 2018 Got gifted Shadow Of The Tomb Raider for Christmas, which is fantastic, but also means I've had to buy Rise Of The Tomb Raider as I should probably play through that first. Looking forward to both as I really liked the 2013 reboot.
Paid Members Accident Prone Posted December 27, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted December 27, 2018 Aye, I picked up the anniversary edition for £13. Both of those games will probably last me all of 2019, so that's sorted.

How many game hours can you chuck into it? Is it a nice epic long game or a short disappointment like Skyward Sword? I'm close to 300 hours and still don't have everything. There's a bunch of collectibles I'm having trouble with.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted December 27, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted December 27, 2018 Cheers everyone, 300 hours and not finishing it sounds wonderful to me. The most hours I clocked in for a Skyrim game was 250 hours and I'd done everything I could find, so that's massively reassuring! How big is the map, in comparison to say Skyrim, Witcher 3, a GTA game etc?
Keith Houchen
I’m a massive fan of Farcry 3 and 4. Is 5 worth the 20 quid I saw it for?
Mr_Danger
The fast travel is really good too, I've not stabled a horse yet I just jump from shrine to shrine or glide from towers. One thing that stands out as being really shite on the Switch is the online services. For £20 a year it's fairly priced but I wish they would fuck their mini consoles off and just whack them all online (they wont). No web browser or Netflix either. I basically pay to play MK8D online. Steve Justice
I concur with Mr Lips. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted December 29, 2018 Moderators Share Posted December 29, 2018 (edited) I haven't played it but I'd say it's a safe assumption that it is crap and somehow manages to be slightly worse than the previous year's efforts. CAREBEAR LUVVA
Quite the opposite - it's probably the best one out of the last few years!
Merzbow
It's the same game with the speed turned up, there's no genuine change to the game engine from what I can tell beyond a few frivolities. It's better but not by much. Edited December 29, 2018 by Merzbow

King of Hamptons
RIP Sabre... I got carried away riding looking at the scenery in Red Dead Redemption 2.. And we fell down a cliff...  I now have a thoroughbred with a mohawk.. Called Sabre Jr... He's pretty good with Submissions...
