Chances are you won't. There are well over a hundred caves/ruins scattered around, so you probably won't have to go there again.

What's your style? Are you all for the magic, or like something with range like a bow, or are you just hacking mothers up with a couple of swords like I did?

Yeah, I bought it off of the Xbox marketplace and played through it couple of years ago, It's still awesome. The graphics held up much better than I thought they would (although that could be down to the Xbox version being much better than the PS2 one which I played originally), even some of the harder shit that I dreaded playing again (the Zero ones/Flying school etc..) seemed to be made more forgiving. The GTA5 stuff is making me want to play it again.

Assassin's Creed 3 has been rubbish so far. It's not helped by the fact that a file that the game told me to read spoiled a plot twist that's yet to come. So to anyone still/about to play the opening stages of the game: don't read anything in the Animus database.

It just flat-out said about the Indian woman- "she fell in love and had a child with a Templar."

Thanks for that, Ubisoft. I'm really looking forward to the cutscene where the guy I'm playing as actually reveals himself to be a Templar now! Dickheads.

I know it's going to get better, but right now I'm regretting that I traded in Resi 6 to go towards it.

I got it out on lovefilm, but I got rid of it rather sharpish. It takes far, far, far too long to get going, the plot spoils too much and there's too much forced stealth and it just doesn't play as well as Asscreed2

A big fucking axe most of the time, when that doesn't work I run away and try again with magic like a bit of a soft sod.

I'm quite enjoying it if I'm honest, I keep finding bits and little things here and there to look deeper into. Those chaurus things are a pain in the arse through, fuck me up every time I find one.

I had a go on Skyrim this afternoon when I realised I bought that DLC a while ago where you build a house but I'd never had a go on it. The load times are horrendous now though, and I'm sure they never used to be. I had time to go for a wee and come back while it loaded my main save from the menu screen, and it still wasn't ready. Going into buildings isn't too bad, but going outside takes forever. At one point I wanted it to be daytime to avoid having to break into a shop, so I used the wait function and pretty much might as well have waited the actual five hours in real time. Eventually I decided to cut my losses and sack it off but the Xbox fan kicked off a right noise when I asked it to save, then the whole thing froze up. What's going on? Has it slowed down for everybody with all the DLC and multiple saves and everything?

I'm playing through San Andreas again, Christ it hasn't aged at all. You forget about the inferior (compared to today's standards) graphics pretty much instantly. Well, I did. Although it does make you think how good GTAV will be if it's anything like this plus insane graphics.

Everyone needs to replay this game to appreciate how bloody good a game can be.

Yeah, I still enjoy playing it now (Got it again on PC through Steam sale) prefer San Andreas over GTA 4 tbh. Actually want to go on it now, lol.

20 years, fuck. I remember that was the ONLY thing I wanted for Christmas in 1992- for the Master System as well. After emphatically unwrapping all of my presents I got down to my last one- it was definitely not Sonic 2. It was a big box. I tried to hide my disappointment as I slowly unwrapped the final present, which turned out to be something I didn't ask for- a Super Nintendo with Street Fighter 2! To this day my favorite xmas present surprise of all time. Sonic 2 for the Master System was shit anyway.

The Mega Drive version however is incredible, arguably the best in the series. The casino levels are my favorite, bonus levels fun and the plus of having Tailz follow you around.

Sonic 2 had by far and away my favourite game music of the 16 bit era. The game itself was fookin awesome, completed it many times and used to race to finish some levels as quickly as possible and compare to mates times in the school yard the next day. Good times.

Still playing Skyrim, I'm stuck in another fucking cave with no way out backwards and getting slaughtered going forwards. This one is under a light house.

At least I have planned ahead this time and have a save outside.

What really gets me here is my companion won't follow me, he just stands on a ledge and won't jump down, which is really infuriating and shit.

I went to price up Smackdown the other night and bought Dead Island, haven't played it yet but it looks ace.

Any way, I will dig out the old magadrive and spend some time on Sonic 2 today, because lets face it it's still shit hot and amazing. It's just wonderfully paced as a game which isn't something I find with a lot of games from that era.

Reading the diaries that are scattered throughout the house will reveal the clue in one of them to find the cellar key: it's in a burial urn on the mantelpiece. Use the key or pick the lock to get to the cellar, which is infested with Chaurus. There is a huge hole in the wall that leads to tunnels that are filled with Chaurus and Falmer. In there are many Chaurus eggs and Glowing Mushrooms here to collect. Further down, jump off a ledge to continue, (there are a lot of Chaurus ahead, and no way to retreat). In one large cavern there are several Chaurus and a Chaurus Reaper. Avenge the family by killing the Reaper to complete the mission.

After the Chaurus Reaper is dead, search its body to find Habd's Key and Habd's Remains. Take his remains up to the lighthouse and open the other wooden door leading to the roof. On the roof of the lighthouse, climb the ladder to the lighthouse fire and activate it. This will remove Habd's remains from the player's inventory and give the active effect: Sailor's Repose (healing spells cure 10% more).

Skyrim really shouldn't be causing this many problems. What level are you at? Maybe you're trying to get ahead of yourself a bit too much. Try working through a few of the main story missions before you go off exploring.

On a completely different subject, is anyone arsed about the Wii U next week? I'm still not that bothered about it, but I've preordered one anyway. I know if I don't buy one now I'll change my mind sometime around Christmas when they'll be impossible to get hold of. Also, I finish work at 11.30 on Thursday night and Game are opening at midnight so I can nip into town on my way home and pick it up. I do love a midnight launch.

Is it me or is FIFA just really difficult? The worst part is coming in and wanting to just mong out on it, but you have to focus so much on defending that you don't wind down at all and end up being more pent up. Cameron Jerome and Kenwyne Jones always score past me too. It happened in the last FIFA. Jerome especially is over powered. Last game I played against the computer, I scored against Stoke and from kick off straight away they hit a long ball which my keeper came for. The ball landed perfectly enough inside my box so that my keeper couldn't catch it and was forced to try header it out and Jerome beat him to it.

I genuinely want to know how to get better. I much prefer playing humans as it doesn't feel as, well, artificial. Any tips?
