Merzbow
Ah fuck off, I was down to play Master League as well. I can't stand David Cage's games, they're utter shite.
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted July 2, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted July 2, 2019 I'll finally be able to get through Heavy Rain. I hear Detroit isn't great but I'll probably give it a look.
Paid Members CleetusVanDamme Posted July 2, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted July 2, 2019 Heavy Rain has the all-time greatest chase scene in any medium. Â
The King Of Swing
David Cage is the biggest hack in gaming.
Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted July 2, 2019 Awards Moderator Share Posted July 2, 2019 @Mr. Seven sold me on David Cage when he persuaded me to buy Fahrenheit. I'm definitely pleased with the Evo sub. Chances are if you wanted the latest one, you'd already have it anyway?
Loki
My Xbox One has died. Â With over a year until the next console generation I'm not sure whether to buy a 2nd hander to replace it, buy a 2nd hand PS3 for a year or just go without for 12 months. I'd love to get a Switch but it doesn't play DVDs.
The King Of Swing
Second hand PS3's are pretty cheap now right? I'd say grab one along with Red Dead Redemption to tide you over.
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted July 2, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted July 2, 2019 I think it depends on what model of PS3 you're after. The later ones are cheaper and tend to have bigger hard drives, but the older ones which cost more and have smaller hard drives are backwards compatible with the PS2.
Merzbow
I wouldn't touch the earlier models now, they're not exactly prone to dying like the 360 was but the yellow light of death seems to be more and more common in those original PS3's.
Rey_Piste
You could pick up a second hand PS4 and then trade in your Xbone games and get onto some of the Sony exclusives before moving onto the next generation.
Steve Justice
Anyone tried this game rental service? https://www.boomerangrentals.co.uk/ I remember LoveFilm used to offer the same service, but didn't realise this sort of thing still existed. I've signed up to the free trial and already had a couple of games out of it. Delivery is really quick too (next day), and the rental prices aren't bad at all. It's a good option if you get through games quite quickly. Edited July 3, 2019 by Steve Justice
The Curious Orange
I've not used them for rentals, but their ebay and amazon stores where they sell off ex-rental stock are great value and you couldn't tell they are used copies.

Paid Members waters44 Posted July 3, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted July 3, 2019 I’ve been with Boomerang for years, they’re great! I had a Switch game delivered today funnily enough
Paid Members Accident Prone Posted July 8, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted July 8, 2019 I bought a Switch over the weekend! Couldn't wait it out any longer as I was getting impatient with missing flash-deals and waiting for eBay to hold their voucher sales. I picked up the Switch+Zelda+£30 e-shop voucher deal for £309 from Currys...only they fucked up and gave me the wrong console, so I don't have the free credit. They're escalating the case and I'll probably just get a £30 refund, but if that fails I'll have to return it for an exchange (which will be well shit as apparently stock on these free-voucher consoles is getting quiet low).
