I got round to putting the results into the opening post yesterday, whilst the table wasn't uploaded until earlier tonight. It occurred to me on Thursday that I should've included Spurs-Liverpool (originally excluded as the lunchtime kick-off, but that became irrelevant once Friday games were left in), but then on Saturday morning I thought it'd probably a bore draw... and so it proved. The fact it went last on Match of the Day despite media fascination with one J. Norbert Klopp Esq. goes some way to justifying the original selection.

Anyway, before we get to the games that actually were on the card, let's first mention that MVP RULZ had his lead cut by one point as Seph hit a century for the season so far. At the other end, the wooden spoon position changed hands yet again as Glenryck became the only participant - apart from joint top scorers ultimo and TUFCfan* - into double figures for the round, as he pointed out above. Zebra Kid Mark now finds himself a full 5 points adrift of his nearest rival. Average score this out was 7 points, even with 2 people missing the Friday night fixtures.

Without the clash at White Hart Lane, there were still plenty of stalemates about as both the Derby d'Italia and the French not-so-super Sunday fixture at imaginatively-named Euro 2016 venue Le Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux finished goalless too. The outcome of the other continental league meetings were both score draws, which proved especially fruitful.

Two of the three away wins closer to home were widely foreseen, but the late goals for West Ham at Selhurst Park caught a lot of players out. A narrow victory at the Hawthorns against Big Sam's new charges yielded its fair share of good guesses as well. In the cup ties, everyone rightly plumped for two triumphs on the road, with Sporting's comfortable margin against a fourth-tier side providing a lot more three-pointers than Benfica making hard work of opponents from the third flight.

Right, that'll do. In all the complication, it was sort of overlooked that there was no attempt at a D2D turn for the first time this season, but I haven't forgotten about it. It'll be back in a new thread within another set of 10 shortly.

*Kudos for getting the Benfica score spot on!
