Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted August 31, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 31, 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-34104752 Â Really shocked by this. I basically grew up with his films. Usual supects are his greatest films (Nightmare on Elm Street, etc) but he made a cracker called "The Serpent and the Rainbow" which I've always rated. "Shocker" was another decent one. Paid Members Thunderplex Posted August 31, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 31, 2015 I grew up with his films. Staring with the Hills Have Eyes that I saw when I first started getting into Horror many, many years ago, through the Scream Movies and all the other stuff he's done. Sad news indeed. Paid Members DEF Posted August 31, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 31, 2015 I've just got up and read this. A real bummer. Probably more gutted than I'd ever think I would be to be honest. A Nightmare on Elm Street is the perfect supernatural Slasher. Scream is probably my most influential film. When it came out to rent on VHS I would watch it over and over like I was a 3 year old with a Disney movie. I still find it fascinating too. I might have to do a marathon in his honour. He always seemed like a thoroughly nice chap too. Â RIP
Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted August 31, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 31, 2015 The Hills Have Eyes is probably my favorite Craven film, but it's not easy to choose. Just terrible news.
sammorgz
Really sad news. The guy is an absolute legend of the genre and made some of my favourite movies.
