Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted March 3, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted March 3, 2017 Bar snacks are scampi fries, peanuts and pork scratchings. If you're getting biltong at a pub then it's not a proper pub. It's not #EATCLEAN. Make an artisan wanker food thread.
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted March 4, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted March 4, 2017 Your pubs are shit then.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted March 4, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted March 4, 2017 If I go into a pub and ask them if they have any fucking biltong then I expect to be hit in the head with a pool cue and thrown out into the street. And quite rightly so.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted March 4, 2017 Author Moderators Share Posted March 4, 2017 Gus Mears weighs 3 stone and is a Tory. Â I wouldn't take his advice on pubs. Full Bullingdon.
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted March 4, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) Clubs Butch, clubs. I wouldn't be seen dead in a pub with the likes of you two. Â Just to put a stamp on my #EATCLEAN heel turn, I bought duck breast for dinner last night in the end. Paid Members SiMania Posted March 4, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) Terrible. No scotch pie. It's as if we won the referendum. Edited March 4, 2017 by SiMania
Paid Members stumobir Posted March 4, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) This is why I have no faith in democracy. If you consider cottage pie to be a true pie then you should have the vote taken away from you. It's nothing more than fancy mince n tatties. Â Edit: you can get two Bell's Steak and Haggis pies for a quid in Asda. Throw a tin of beans on them and you could serve it to Royalty. Suitable for breakfast, lunch and dinner too. Or all three. Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted March 4, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted March 4, 2017 This is what happens when you let southerners have opinions on pies.

Edit: you can get two Bell's Steak and Haggis pies for a quid in Asda. Throw a tin of beans on them and you could serve it to Royalty. Suitable for breakfast, lunch and dinner too. Or all three. Back in the day I did Home Economics for GCSE. One project was pastry pies and we got asked for favourite pie filings. After naming all the obvious, the teacher asked why no one said Shepherds Pie. Explaining that is a pie made with mash not pastry, she then argued with me saying it was a pastry pie with mince, onions and Carrot. This turned into a row with the class against the teacher. In the end I decided to drop it if the teacher didn't even know that
Paid Members stumobir Posted March 4, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted March 4, 2017 I hope you reported her to OFSTED. No wonder we're plummeting in the international education rankings.
Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted March 4, 2017 Awards Moderator Share Posted March 4, 2017 Top three traditionally mash-top pies. They should be renamed 'bakes' to help thickos understand. Yeah Nick your teacher was thick as.
Paid Members Nick Soapdish Posted March 4, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted March 4, 2017 Is there anything worse then asking for a pie on a restaurant menu and getting pie filling in a bowl with a pastry lid. I'm a southerner and it angers me. I bet you northerners would hulk out
Mr_Danger
I didn't even know Fray Bentos did a cottage pie.
Paid Members FLips Posted March 4, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted March 4, 2017 Pies in a bowl with a lid aren't pies. I got one like that in Whitby and I almost sent it back.Top 3 for me would be Steak and Kidney, Steak and Ale and Steak.
