Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted March 3, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted March 3, 2015 He's not taking anymore indy bookings after after April and its being said by the Observer that the reason is that its something to do with WWE. They must rate him if they are signing him. 35 year old former TNA wrestlers usually arent on their radar.
Paid Members tiger_rick Posted March 3, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted March 3, 2015 Umaga rises from the ashes! Â I'm happy for him if it comes off. I think it's a shame it's come ten years to late but I'm genuinely interested in whether he can get into WWE shape and find a gimmick that they like and want to put on TV. sivy
If rhyno can come back to NXT, and make an impact. Then why can't Joe.

truthofsin
Joe is a definite plus for NXT i think. I wa saying to a friend the other day that WWE signing him would be a good thing. If nothign else, the younger inexperienced guys on the roster can learn a lot from a guy like Joe. And a motivated Joe working with the likes of Balor, Owens, Hideo, Zayn etc can only make for great TV. Guy still has a lot to give.
WyattSheepMask
Can't do any harm to give a tryout. If it does come to something, sticking in NXT to be around the Performance Centre for six months will do him the world of good to get into decent shape
Bugsey713
It really is a win win situation foe WWE. If Joe signs and makes it to the main roster mid card, great they have an experienced worker to help younger guys.  If Joe signs and doesnt get in shape after 6-12 months in NXT then he's just another Chris Hero and WWE can say they gave him a chance. Theres no reason a motivated pro wrestler shouldnt get into shape at the performance centre.  Also isnt Uhaa Nation on his way to NXT now
Paid Members gadge Posted March 3, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted March 3, 2015 Uhaa Nation already finished up with Dragon Gate, so I think so. Unless he's moving to Preston to live with the Fludders.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted March 3, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted March 3, 2015 Rhyno vs. Samoa Joe in NXT, please. Was it this match that prompted the classic Tenay/West high five, or was that Steiner/Joe? Â Excellent news. Like Rhyno and Kendrick knocking about, having Joe at NXT should be brilliant for the guys coming through developmental. I think the blend of experienced guys and the up and comers will make it even more watchable. Â Really wish they'd sign Bully Ray in some capacity. Paid Members Supremo Posted March 3, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted March 3, 2015 It's great new for NXT and Joe, but I'm surprised at how quickly they're willing to sign someone coming out of TNA. Have there been any other examples of guys being signed so soon after finishing up in TNA? I don't recall any. Wasn't there a rule following them messing around with Ric Flair's contract where they'd avoid doing something like this?
WyattSheepMask
There's nothing to confirm he has signed anything yet, just that he isn't taking anymore indie bookings past April
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted March 3, 2015 Author Paid Members Share Posted March 3, 2015 Even TNA wouldnt think Rhino vs Joe is worth a handslap. If I remember, Rhino and Monty Brown took on Joe in a threeway, instead of a standard Joe vs Rhino bout. Â The handslapping was because Cornette announced Steiner vs Joe. One thing about the Tenay, D'Amore and Borash team, they knew how to sell and angle. Something every other creative team after them had no idea how to.
